Carmichael Dental Care, Chet Swartzentruber DMD and Shawn Keahey DDS

They messed up my "very minor cavity"(to quote them) filling and now I am scheduled for a root canal and need a crown mold on top of that.

I went in for a cleaning and they noticed a small cavity, which the dentist himself said was just on the surface and not a big deal.

A week later I came in, got the cavity removed and immediately felt pain. I let it settle in for 1 month, and went back because the pain had never gone away.

When I came back, the dentist did a quick visual check (no X-Ray) and prescribed me pain medication. He said it was not an issue, and to wait a couple more weeks for the pain to go away.

I waited a couple more weeks but the pain persisted so I went to a different dentist. She did X-Ray scans, and said the filling was very close to my nerve and I needed a root canal. She said looking at my XRays, it seemed like there was no reason for the filling to have been that deep into my tooth.

She scheduled me for a root canal and told me my tooth had become brittle and she would advise me to get a crown on top of the root canal.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this dental clinic. I understand that people can make mistakes, but when I came back because of an issue they did not consult me seriously and didnt even get an xray to see what was going on inside.

Lazy and dismissive care.

Can’t say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Chet & his staff are top-notch & second to none. I ended up here as a result of 2 bad experiences with other dentist and I have not been disappointed in the 5 years since being a patient. In fact my 3 children & 2 sisters have all switched from other dentist and now come here for their dental care. There is little wait time upon arrival & everyone is very professional. Dr. Chet is aware of my nervousness when it comes to having any procedure done in my mouth and he makes a special effort to ensure I am comfortable and at ease. He NEVER pressures you into having expensive work done that’s not needed. He makes his diagnosis, gives you his professional, honest opinion then leaves the decision up to you. I totally trust his expertise. My hygienist is Inez and she is the BEST. You will not be disappointed after visiting Carmichael Dental Care.

The Staff and Doctor make you feel at ease almost immediately. Very quick service but the Doctor takes his time and talk to you. The price given me for my dental work was acceptable. Really enjoyed the experience.

Just moved to Montgomery and needed to see a dentist. I found Carmichael Dental Care on web search and called and they were able to see me at my earliest convenience. I went for my initial visit and everyone was so friendly. Everything was explained to me and Dr. Chet and Susan were very thorough on details of my options. I was very pleased and will be using them from now on.

Everyone is very friendly and professional. Nothing but good experiences. They really care about their patients.

It was my first visit and from the time I came in to the time I left I felt welcomed. The office staff is beyond excellent they was nice and friendly. My wait wasn't long and the Dr. assistant talked with me throughout the whole process on what she was doing. The Dr. himself came in and he talked with me about the next steps I need to take. Glad I found this Dentist office I Feel safe here. I recommend this place to everyone thanks CDC

I just started going there today it’s was very clean, the staff was nice, thay did a good job on explaining everything and answered all my questions.

I went in to have my wisdom teeth pulled and I arrived at 1pm, that was the time of my appt. I was called to the back within 2 mins and I was greeted by Abby. Abby had me prepped and ready for my extraction in less than 5 mins. Dr. Chet who is awesome by the way came in, numbed my mouth and extracted all the teeth in less than 30 mins. I guess the numbing medicine made me high and I was like we're done already? He said yes ma'am all done in less than 30 mins. I was like "No!", I don't want to go yet. LOL 🤣 😆 😂 I was amazed at how fast and precise they were. Thanks Abby and Dr. Chet you guys did a wonderful job!!! I Love my team at Carmichael Dental I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had the best experience here! Going to the Dentist usually isn't the ideal thing to do. But the staff here are friendly and inviting. Usually x-rays are my least favorite but she was able to get the perfect shot in just one try! Amazing! I didn't have to wait long at all. Hands down this was by far the best dental visit I have ever had. Thank you so much!!
