I really wanted to like this place; friendly staff, nice office, and the dentist, Dr. Covington seemed fine, but the hygienist tries to intimidate patients into out-of-pocket procedures that are not necessary (see google review as this is a normal occurrence). Cigna pays for a cleaning at 100%, but they refused to do the service, and charged me $15 out-of-pocket, and gave me an alternative plan of care which included two days of missed work, and a lot of cash. There has been a complaint made with Cigna and establishing myself with another dentist means more time away from my work, which my employer probably doesn’t appreciate. I am going to write a complaint to the City of Phoenix HR department in hopes they will be removed as dental providers. Picking up films from them for my new dentist will cost another hidden fee of $21. And I have never had a cavity in my life, LOL! Please do your homework before you have an unpleasant experience.

Everybody from front office to back office has very friendly personality.they took the time to explain any procedures needed as well as looked up a great referral for me to look into. I would recommend them for sure! Will be taking the drive to come back when needed.

I had an appointment at 10. And left at 11:45. All I wanted was them to evaluate a filling but they tried to take whole mouth xrays. I had to demand they tell me exactly how much it's going to cost. And the nurse danced around the answer. In the end they took one xray and charged me $48. The didn't tell me what I wanted and were very rude. In the end I payed $50 to miss 2 hours of work and get no advice. What a waste of my time, money, and brain cells. Absolute Trash.

I’ve been coming to Family Dentisty for over 10 years. Friendly staff and most of them have been there for years which is good when there isn’t a high turnover rate. They’re gentle and truly care.
