Tempe Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

I'm highly upset at the unprofessionalism and lack of respect I was provided. I was a new potential patient, I shared what insurance I have. I was unable to confirm the exact type of Cigna insurance I have. Instead of the receptionist being courteous, she said she couldn't help me without the information. I explained I still wanted to set up an appointment and could callback with my EXACT information. She refused to set up my appointment and started to talk over me. when I asked what was the big issue, she replied well I have to put your paying cash if I don't have the information. I explained that was fine and she STILL refused to set up my appointment! I was treated unfair, how can someone assume I can't pay cash or that I have bogus insurance ?! This call/ conversation could have been a total different experience if the receptionist would have not been so eager to get me off the phone and actually tried to help me. I will not be going back and will not recommend this to any of my fellow coworkers/family or friends. I do collections for a living and would never treat someone like this.

I’ve been coming here for years and It’s been a great experience every time. Nobody likes going to the dentist but I like going to Tempe Modern Dentistry. They always take care of my teeth and orthodontic needs! Definitely recommend

After a 10 year gap without seeing a dentist, I was very nervous about the state of my teeth. From the first visit the staff at Tempe Modern Dentistry have been supportive and enthusiastic about getting me back on track.

I have also had to have some of my older fillings replaced that were damaged with them since returning to a regular dental routine. Even in an emergency situation they were able to show I could trust them with my teeth.

If you're looking for a good pediatric dentist this is your place! Dr. McLin is personable, knowledgeable and does very well with kids of all ages! Everyone working here from the gals at the front desk to the hygienist are super friendly and good at what they do!

I was a bit nervous about finding a new dentist when I move to Phx from out of state, but am happy I found Tempe Modern Dentistry. The location is very convenient with ample parking and the dental hygienists are always friendly and easy to talk to during what would otherwise be a very boring cleaning.

WARNING this place is unethical and misleads patients. I went here since the ratings were high, now I realize this was a huge mistake. I have never had a cavity and they immediately diagnosed 9 cavities via x-ray and tried to have me get the work done same day. The hygienist also tried to sell me on some procedures that were not necessary, I refused to the billing specialist and she still almost performed these procedures!! I was made to wait for close to 3 hours and it became clear they had forgotten I was there. When the work totaled to over $2000 I took my records and left. I went to the family dentist in town that I trust and he told me that the cavities were something to watch but they were old and not something necessary to drill. Two of the diagnosed cavities were just discoloration that can happen over time.

Love the staff, very friendly, and wonderful experience! Visits are quick and efficient. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new dentist office.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years. I had a crown scheduled on Monday. I didn’t even see the dr for 45 min AFTER my appointment time. Then, when I had to leave 2 hours later because I’d scheduled another appointment a hour after the dentist told me I’d be done they told me “we can’t get your cleaning done today, like we talked about. You shouldn’t schedule things right after.” I’m back because I have a high spot on that crown and my appointment was 45 min ago. I didn’t even get into a room until 30 min AFTER my appointment time.

My teeth are awful, I’ve had a couple other crowns here, and they have warrantees on them. I don’t know what it will do to my warrantee to go somewhere else but if these people can’t respect my time, it doesn’t matter how good the dentists are. And they’re fine. Nothing special. I’d only come here if you have nothing else to do all day.

This dental office is great! Everyone is so friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. They help with emergency situations in a timely fashion and they understand its an urgent matter. They are very thorough on what they do and make sure they do it right.
