Cortaro Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

Please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I went for just a small filling in one of my Tooth. I came back as i was feeling alot of sensativity, The dentists shaved my tooth to the point is flat now! . The sensativity didn't go away came back and i was told . The dentist ended up going to deep in my tooth and damage my root . Now i have to get a root canal . They want to charge me 1,400 for something they did !! . This is the worse Dental place ever . They don't care for you , Its all about the money .

I've been coming to cortaro smiles since about the end of july. Their entire staff is extremely friendly and treats you like family. Everytime I've either called or gone into the office they show they care about their patients. And are always more willing to work with you on your treatment, getting appointments scheduled and payment plans set up. My first appointment a treatment plan was set up and has since been followed. I'm very proud to say I am a cortaro smiles patient.

I have always been scared of the dentist but this place has always treated me right. I still hate the dentist in general but love the people working here. I use to never show my teeth in my photos but now I love my smile. Completely recommend this place to new patients.

Avoid this dental practice at all costs, here's why:

This has become an incredibly dishonest practice that uses intimidation tactics to confuse you into paying for non-essential services in order to meet their sales quotas.

My family and I have gone to Cortaro Smiles for over 7 years, previously it was a completely different practice, honest, ethical, and patient focused. That entire staff has now been replaced by a predatory practice aimed at maximizing their per-patient profit.

I have gone every 6 months to the dentist, never had a negative checkup, I floss daily, use a sonicair etc.. I am very focused on my oral hygeine. During my visit today a new hygienist literally told me that i had 3 different oral diseases, and i needed thousands of dollars of treatments which were not covered by my insurance. "If you don't do these treatments, your teeth are all going to fall out in a month".

When i told them i would like to get a second opinion, they tried to refer me to another dentist at the same location, threatening that another practice wouldnt know my dental history....which has been entirely positive.

Avoid at all costs.

After a second opinion from another practice, i was told i had NONE of the issues Cortaro smiles mentioned, i had a pleasant full examination with no major treatment.

The worst dental office ever. They no longer have the only dentist my children respect for starters then every single appointment I have placed for the last few years has been canceled last minute and had to be rescheduled. The receptionist are always very rude and don't exactly know what they are doing. They mix up patients frequently, to be thus all just bad practice it's amazing they are still in business.

They have no consideration for patients time.My appointment was for 1 pm and i was seen at 1:30,than spent spent two hours inside,got nothing done and walked out with quote for a crown which was twice as much as my previous dentist.they take your blood pressure before visit.luckily they don't after...
let me add that my sons appointment for exam and cleaning was as late and lengthy as mine.will not be coming back to this place

After just visiting the practice, I was very pleased with the amount of professionalism and concern for everyones safety. I am sure that returning to work since the Covid-19 shut down has been stressful, and yet the office functioned smoothly. I believe they are taking every precaution but also want you to feel comfortable. As usual a courteous and happy staff.

The worse EVER! left my daughter on gas for 3 hrs all because of a damn light switch would not work so the old man dentist got pissed off and left the room. He was very salty to his techs and us. thought well bad day so we went back a few weeks later and it took forever again we were in that office a total of 4.5 hours I will never put my daughter through that again. On top of that they kept cancelling on me stating my appointment was not on the day I would show I even had the appt paper with me and all they do is pass blame!

Never had an issue with anyone there except the hygienist Melissa. She's a bully!!! She constantly pushed us to use Listerine Zero bc "Crest Pro-Health will stain your teeth - make you look like you've been sucking on a tailpipe. There's even lawsuits. You can look it up online." Guess what? There's lawsuits on Listerine Zero too. And Crest was NOT staining my son's teeth like she claimed. Another dentist and 2 orthos confirmed that! She belittled my oldest son complaining he never cleaned his teeth well enough (even said, "if at all" to him!), was very rough when she cleaned and was constantly wanting him to have an irrigation treatment which conveniently wasn't covered by insurance. Funny the price on that was different every time time too. Ranging from $120 to $140. She was abusive, rude, rough and not at all compassionate. My son was always very diligent about cleaning his teeth and after she made his mouth sore and bleeding after his last cleaning, I promised him he'd never have to be subjected to that horrible woman again. We'd had enough of her abuse! Since then, we all go to Dental Village and it's like night and day! They've never once made my son feel bad (physically, mentally or emotionally) and in fact tell him how good he's doing and that his teeth look great and he's just as diligent now in his cleaning as before. I'd think if his teeth were as bad as Melissa at CS said they were, then I believe they would have told us so. Like I said, Melissa is just a bully. And I lost count with how many times she told me, "I have 2 teenage sons too so I speak their language". I wanted to ask, "Oh. So you talk down to them too? Like they're 2 year olds?" Because that's how she treated both of my boys. Phony, two faced bully! Don't ever go to this office!!! BTW, we haven't been there in almost 2 years and they STILL send us mailings knowing we will never go back. So maybe the office personnel aren't as good as I thought either.

I don't even know what to rate this to be honest. I loved my dentist and my hygienist. However, they over billed me and have refused to return my calls when I have inquired about the charges. Sadly, I will now go find another dentist office that has a billing department with some credibility.
