I had several small growths like skin tags on the inside of my mouth on my gums just inside my lower lip. I saw Dr. Jeannie and she recommended laser removal of the tissue. On the day of my procedure, I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. She began the laser treatment, and I found it uncomfortable because of the heat. After she numbed the area, I was fine.
It only took a few minutes to remove the tissue. There was no bleeding because the laser cauterized as it did the removal. After I was done, I did experience some swelling in the immediate area and on my lip. I applied ice a few times that first day. After that, everything was fine. I had very little pain. I think that I would describe it as slight soreness. After one week, the area is almost completely healed! I’m generally anxious about dental procedures but this was a piece of cake!! I’m so glad that I had the laser procedure done!
