Solano Family Dentistry has a very clean and comfortable facility. I have dreaded going to the dentist for quite some time and this was my first visit. They were very friendly and professional. I'm 62 years old. I've been going to the dentist for almost 60 years. Dr. Salek is by far the best dentist I've ever had, and I've had quite a few because I've lived in many different places.
He goes far and above mere competence -- he is an artist! I see from some of the other reviews here that others agree with me. There are several places in my mouth that he has worked on, and whenever my tongue touches them I am reminded of what an artist he is!
But wait, it gets better! He's also friendly and professional, and willing to take all the time needed to explain his procedures, the reasons for them, and the alternatives. I am on SSI with DentiCal, and he's always been up front with me about what he charges and what is and is not covered by the insurance.
Does he charge too much? Not as far as I can see. But even if his prices were high, he'd be worth it. You'll travel far and wide before you'll find another dentist of his caliber.
The staff is fantastic, too. I'm most familiar with Joanne and Sarah. They are fantastic!
If and when I must leave this area, I will return to Dr. Salek even if I have to fly halfway around the world. It doesn't get better that this.

You make an appointment 2 months in advance for a cleaning, expecting a cleaning of course. Then they want to do 18 xrays and an exam just to tell me what kind of cleaning I will need or they won't clean my teeth. After the exam, I am told they can't do a regular cleaning that's covered by my insurance, but that I need to pay $600 out of pocket for a deep cleaning, and that's my only choice. The deep cleaning will happen another day and will take two appointments. The whole experience is very negative. first they waste my time because theirs is more important, I have things to do so next time let me know there are no cleaning during the cleaning appointment. Then the guy asks me what I do for a living, and after I tell him I am a landlord, he tells me it will cost me $600 out of pocket for a tooth cleaning, I try to warn others on other social media so that people don't make the same mistake as me if they value their time. Just feel like a major scam for struggling dentists.

Warm, friendly staff, on time and very helpful with insurance questions. Didn’t try to sell unnecessary cosmetic treatments, like whitening. I will definitely make this my new dentist!

Very good customer service. Kind, polite, etc. Also Dr. Jalek was excellent in his explainations and future planning and solutions. The Dentistry also has in house payment plans which is always a plus if the insurance doesn't cover some of the work. Did not upsell, was honest and to the point in addressing the situation. Very happy with my visit.

Friendly staff, office very clean. I had a tooth pulled and tooth front of that one I had a root canal & a temporary crown put on. I didn't feel anything except a little pressure. No pain, just a little uncomfortable while still numb. Can't wait for the permanent crown to be put on! Great job Solano Family Dentistry.
