Having a stellar, understanding, kind dentist is incredibly important to me, as are everything that goes along with that: a warm environment, friendly staff, and all that jazz. I was referred to SMA Dental by a family member and after two visits, all I have are glowing things to say about them. My first visit was just a cleaning / check up / xray appointment, and I I had the time of the appt. wrong on my calendar, plus ran into traffic, so I showed up embarrassingly late. Not a great first impression, but everyone was so incredible understanding and nice that it was an amazing first visit. I feel like I would have gotten some choice words from my previous dentist office in SF who I never really connected with. Then today, I had a few cavities filled and not only was the experience seamless, the staff made it a fun visit and Dr. Sotoodeh was incredible: attentive, efficient, calm, and confident. I felt incredibly taken care of, something I haven't felt from a dentist since I was a kid. Then, the kicker: Dr. Sotoodeh called me later in the evening to follow up, ask how my mouth was feeling and see if there were any lingering issues after the numbness wore off. I don't think I've ever received a follow up, check-in call from a dentist or doctor for such a routine procedure, I was in shock. So sweet, absolute class act. I am so thankful to have found everyone at SMA!

2/15/22: Another incredible visit to my favorite dental office! Every time I go in, the warmth and ambiance is just amazing. Happy staff, all smiling and engaged! The open environment is just brilliant! There’s new equipment always to introduce…it’s awe inspiring! My hygienist, Maria has been with the office over 30 years! It’s a family affair! Dr. Marin stopped in, examined me & we had the best chat! It’s just an uplifting experience as it should be!

What a fantastic experience! I was greated warmly at the front desk, didn't wait more than a few minutes, then was greated by the hygienist. Shanna was friendly and truly loves her job, and she truly cared about providing the best care possible. Dr Sotoodeh was ad equally friendly and caring. She explained what was needed soon, and we should watch.
