Dr Fong is amazing!! I have been going to him for roughly 8 years. He has always been extremely thorough in his work as well as his explanations of what needs to be done and why. Due to Dr. Fong's focused attention to each of his patients, my wife and I feel like we have a great relationship with him. It makes it much easier going to the dentist. :)
From cleanings, to caps, to last minute dental needs, I have always been able to contact the office when needed. I get emails, text messages, and phone calls reminding me about my appointments.
To my regret, I once went to another dentist in the area to get some work done which ended up not going as well as I had hoped. I went back to Dr. Fong to correct the mistake. He was very understanding and accommodating. My wife and I both love our dentist and we know you will too.

I've been going to Dr Gary Fong's office for 15 years and have never had a reason to go anywhere else for my dental needs. They've always taken great care of me. The staff has always been so positive and friendly throughout the years.

I had a dental emergency several years ago and Gary was out of town. Gary's office was able to arrange for me to be treated by his brother who is also a dentist and they fixed me right up! This was great customer service and Gary's brother was able to see me on extremely short notice.

Dr. Fong is truly an amazing dentist, he is so gentle, kind, he listened to all of my concerns and very passionate in what he does. he fixed one of my crown today and I didn't need to wait or go back for two weeks because he has the advanced technology machine state of the art, Cerec crown (it only took 35 min.) Super cool! The whole staffs are so helpful as well. I'm very satisfied patient.

Before I began visiting Dr. Fong, I had already sat through a ton of dental work including a few extractions, countless fillings and other proceedures. I *really* didn't like dentists. But ask me now about going to the dentist and I'll say I love it. I mean, like everyone, I still hate getting my teeth cleaned and the terrifying sound of a drill against my tooth, but overall Dr. Fong and his team make sitting in the dentist chair the best possible experience. I recently had to have 3 crowns done and they were all great experiences. Dr. Fong and his amazing dental assistant always make sure to explain what he's doing, make sure I can't feel anything and that I'm as comfortable as possible. They even take care to put a moisturizer on your lips to make sure your lips and corner of your mouth don't get cracked during a procedure. Again, if you're looking for an awesome, considerate dentist with an assistant and staff that truly care about you, please consider Dr. Fong in Hayward.

Gary Fong is Amazing at what he does and also everyone in this dentistry. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 8 years. I was so nervous and I wanted to find the perfect dentist. I read his previous reviews and decided to try him. As soon as I called Mary answered the phone and I had some worrying questions but she assured me everything was going to be ok. When I arrived at my appointment I was in awe of all the high tech equipment they use and their professionalism. Gary comes up with a personal plan of action for you and they have payment options to work with you. I am very pleased I made that phone call. I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere of this office. Everyone was professional, yet jovial. Dr Fong spent a LONG time explaining various things to me, about teeth/ gums/jaws in general, as well as how they specifically applied to me. In addition, he was equally as thorough when he examined me. Not only is he a great educator, but he is an excellent practitioner and advocate. He found 8 areas in my mouth that needed to be addressed that my previous dentist overlooked. He helped me recover the cost of a horrible crown from my previous dentist, so that he could give me a gorgeous one in one visit...and it looks like a real tooth. He is meticulous, painless, and down to earth.

Dr. Fong is hands down the best Dentist. He is kind, patient, professional and extremely good at what he does. It is rare to find someone in his profession that is willing to take the time to sit down with patients, and rather than throw treatment that is needed in their face, takes the time to go over a "treatment plan" with you. The amount of time and thought he puts into explaining why you need the treatment is reason enough to make a visit. How often can you say that a Dentist really explains what is going on in your mouth? I can certainly attest to Dr. Fong's wonderful business as a whole. Dr. Fong's staff provides the same care and personable hospitality that you would expect from a top-notch dental office. I refer to all my family and friends!

TL;DR: The best dentist I've ever had, who cares about your teeth and has an excellent staff. I went from being embarrassed to smile to being able to smile again!

Longer Version: Dentist reviews have to be one of the hardest to write. On one hand, you need to be able to express how truly wonderful a dentist is, on the other, you don't want people to know how messed up your teeth are.

Dr. Fong is fantastic. His attention to detail and wonderful staff make this place a true hidden treasure.

I have been to many dentist. Ugly offices, beautiful offices, and everything in between. Dr. Fong's is a simple dental office, nothing fancy. He is there because he cares about your teeth, not about making as much money as he can from you.

As I have been to many dentist, I've had tons of work done. My smile, slowly fading away as I become more and more embarrassed by the condition of my teeth. It used to not be so bad when pictures were less detailed but now they see every detail of your teeth.

My teeth were not in good condition. I was embarrassed to smile, afraid to gross people out with my teeth. Previous work done on my teeth were quite visible. You could instantly tell where a cavity was filled because they couldn't get the color right. It was quite embarrassing, multiple dentists and similar experiences. That all changed with Dr. Fong.

I had cavities on my front tooth and on the tooth next to it, and a filling needed replacing. Dr Fong filled in the cavities and fixed the previous filling. I wasn't expecting much, I've been in seats similar to this many times before. After all was done, they handed the mirror to me, and when I saw the completed work, I immediately began to cry. It was straight out of something you would see on TV. The fillings were so good they looked just like my natural teeth. You cant even tell work was done unless you stare at the teeth and even then, good luck. I can finally smile again, I am so truly happy to have finally found a dentist that does QUALITY work.

Thank you Dr. Fong for being an amazing dentist and giving me my smile back. I appreciate all the hard work you have put into my teeth, I could never thank you enough.

My daughter and I both love going to Dr. Fong. He and his wonderful staff take great care of us and I always leave laughing, they are so much fun. Sounds weird, huh, liking a dentist visit so much but these people are great. I have been going to him for 20+ years and still enjoy going.
