My Milpitas Dentist, The Dental Office of Dr. Anthony Yen, DMD

I recently had a filling done at Dr. Yen’s office. The office itself is really clean and nicely decorated. The staff was extremely pleasant and professional. The dentist Dr. Yen was amazing! I will admit going to the dentist isn’t my favorite due to past experiences but Dr. Yen was very nice and informative during my procedure as he worked on my tooth. He was also very gentle and diligent when performing his work. I would highly recommend setting up an appointment with him and this practice. They take care of you.

I am a software engineer and typically don't like going to the dentist. From my time growing up, I found that going to the dentist results in a long wait in the waiting room (typically 10-15 minutes) as well as a lot of vague advice about flossing more. However, after visiting this office my opinion changed a bit about dentist office. My wait this time was only 2 minutes before I was brought to the dental chair where a friendly dentist cleaner Nathan gave me a thorough cleaning and lots of useful specific tips. After that, I was seen by Dr Anthony Yen DMD, who was very friendly. Dr Anthony Yen was very helpful in terms of giving good pointers on how to keep teeth healthy, and gave me a sample of toothpaste that he thought would be particularly good for me, as well as instructions for how to best apply that toothpaste to my teeth. I'm proud to say that my teeth are feeling in pretty good condition after that visit.

I also really enjoyed the ceiling art. I've attached a photo that I took -- I think it may be a picture of a beach from Carmel, or maybe Monterey.

One suggestion for this dental practice is the room number is 151, but it's on the second floor, so it would be more intuitive to find if the room number was 251.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jerry Glass (recently retired) for years before he handed over the practice to Dr. Anthony Yen. Never had a problem with Dr. Glass and he was an amazing dentist. I was notified of Dr. Glass retirement when I called to make an appointment for a routine cleaning. I wasn't hesitant to give Dr. Yen a try because I trusted that Dr. Glass would leave the practice in good hands. Routine cleaning went well and was told that I also needed some tooth cavities done. No big deal, right? Appointment for cavities was scheduled for late July 2022. HUGE MISTAKE. Not sure what Dr. Yen did but all three of the teeth he worked on were still hurting weeks to even months after the procedure. A filling SHOULD NOT hurt for more than a few days of at most a few weeks after the procedure. Mine were easily irritated with hot, cold and even room temperature foods and drinks. Eating was a nightmare. I decided to go to another dentist to get a second opinion to see what was going on. She told me its definitely not normal for the teeth to be hurting for so long after being worked on, especially months later, and that it was a sign that they were not done correctly. She took an x-ray for a closer look and one of the fillings looked like it was done incorrectly and looked somewhat jagged on the x-ray. To make matters worse, one of the three teeth he worked recently became so painful that I needed to get an emergency root canal on it. The other two teeth still remain very sensitive to hot/cold/room temp and I'm sure that they will also need a root canal eventually. This has cost me unnecessary spending when they were just supposed to be simple tooth fillings. I will definitely be escalating this to my insurance if the costs continue to mount. No reason why I should have to deal with this. I have since left Dr. Yen as a patient. Fortunately I was able to get reimbursed for what the insurance paid for the fillings he did. However, the costs of roots canals and even tooth crowns will be much more. I would definitely look elsewhere for a dentist.

I was very nervous switching to a new dentist, after the hygienist has done cleaning, Dr. Anthony Yen examine me and discuss any issues or potential issues. Dr Yen is so incredibly kind, patient, he ease the typical anxiety of going to the dentist, he was happy to answer my questions, he didn’t push for the procedure, explains the situation very clearly, he gave me the information and recommends what need to be done and when, his office and equipment are state of the art and procedure are in place to protect against the virus, he has good staffs who are always eager to help, they made me feel welcome and at ease, they did everything to assist me with understanding the paperwork as well as dealing with my insurance information. I would recommend Dr. Anthony Yen to anyone who is interested in having an excellent dentist.

New update, today I just had one day crown put in, it was great , I don’t have to wait two weeks or more for new crown to replace, Dr. Yen used computer control milling machine in his clinic took about an hour to make a new porcelain crown it looks totally nature, I cannot be happier!

I recently visited Dr.Yen’s office to have some fillings placed because of cavities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It’s been about several days since the work was done and my teeth feel great. I am able to drink hot and cold beverages fine and able to eat no problem on them. Dr.Yen and his staff do great work as they take the time to explain the dentistry to you and ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the treatment. Highly recommend.

The best dentist I have ever come across in this city like no other is Dr. Anthony Yen, an admirable, honest, sincere, dedicated and a very professional dentist who gave his all, treating me as his patient with my every questions answered. The service he provided me being his patient was just outstanding. Not forgetting his staff members who were very kind and treated me with respect. This is one experience that I am proud to say that anyone who no matter who you may be will also be treated the same way with dignity and respect. I strongly recommend him as the best dentist and rest assured you will have no regrets but praise this honorable man. Try it out and you will find it yourself. I can bet on that. He is nothing but the best of the best.

I usually don't write many reviews but felt that I should since Dr. Yen did a great job in service! I had to get some teeth removed and I really don't like going to the dentist at all, but he really assured me and made sure I was comfortable with what they were doing Also, any questions I had Dr. Yen and his staff took the time to explain and provide visuals as well so I could better understand the procedure and provided great reassurance. Once everything was done, they gave me great steps and guidance on how to take care of my teeth moving forward! I really am appreciative of the time and patience they had me as I said, I don't like going to the dentist at all so it was great to find a doctor who understands my phobia. Even after a couple of days, Dr. Yen reached out to me to make sure I was feeling alright and if there was any pain or discomfort! Definitely recommend Milpitas Dental Office and Dr. Yen as well!

What can I say...I am the type of person that hate to go to the dentist. It was a long time since I've seen the dentist...but, I was so happy I went to see Dr. Anthony Yen. He was so helpful in making feel comfortable and the staff are very friendly and welcoming...not many offices are like this. He helps me resolved my tooth ache issues and educated me on how I can keep my oral hygiene in place. I don't write reviews but said to myself we need more dentist like this in our community that really cares for their patients. I recommend anyone to give Dr. Yen a chance to help earn their trust in making sure you are care for by a dentist that really cares. Patrick

Dr Yen is amazingly good. He did 2 crowns for me, he was very gentle and soft spoken which helped to calm my nerves. He is so close to home and I had missed the nicest dentist in town for so many years. I recommended him to anyone cuz he will give you the best care and the comfort you need… especially sitting on that chair!

All the staffs are friendly and my cleaning was done so smoothly and painless (had some really painful cleaning before). Dr Yen is nice and went thru the check up gentle and quickly. Always nervous when going to dentist but i think i can still sing when driving to next appointment
