Make sure they are contracted with your insurance. Somehow, they "forgot "to tell me they are not contracted with mine. The girl at the front office said they usually have you sign that you know they are not contracted. Paid the out of network copay.

Dr. Appel and his warm, professional staff have given me flawless dental care the past 4+ years. Dr. Appel has made timely diagnoses, provided full info for me to make decisions, developed a methodical treatment plan that moved from acute to preventative needs--and he's gifted in doing dental procedures without the discomfort! No more dread... You'll also appreciate the kindness and courtesy of each one in his office--they truly work as a team to give superior care to each patient, without the slightest hint of rush or "assembly-line" care. And they accommodate patients' schedules to make appointments as convenient as possible. Excellent over-all care!

Recently my daughter had to have 2 teeth pulled in preparation for braces. She always gets very nervous going to the dentist, but Dr. Appel's very calm demeanor and bedside manner put her at ease, along with nitrous of course. She had a great experience if you can even say that about going to the dentist to have teeth pulled!! She had zero issues afterwards and was instructed very thoroughly on the aftercare. We highly reccomend Dr. Appel's office!!!

My husband, Dan, and I are both patients of Dr. Appel with very different dental needs.
I am trying to take as good a care of my teeth to last my lifetime. My teeth had a poor life's start, but the good doctor and his staff work hard to help me maintain them. Their care and support is always professional and pain free.
My husband has full dentures top and bottom, but is not a candidate for implants. Dr. Appel helped Dan decide it was time to replace his poor fitting bottom dentures for comfort and easier chewing. Not only did he create a wonderful fit, but he was able to align his jaw to a much more normal position. Dan is able to eat foods more easily, and his bite and jaw are lined up wonderfully. Dr. Appel reminds us that Dan is welcome in anytime for an adjustment if he has any discomfort.
I am grateful to be a patient in Dr. Appel's practice.

After 60+ years of having dental work done across many US states, I have had various experiences with which to judge my current dental care by. It is with this knowlege that I am commenting on my current care.
Dr. Appel is the most professional, ethical caregiver in my dental care experience, and I feel it is an extreme privilege to be his patient. His gentleness in prepping, executing injections(painless!), and repair work is without parallel. His high standards, in fitting crowns so that margins are perfect, and making sure the color and prep of the crown by the lab is perfect, show his dedication for having the best for his patients. The atmosphere in the office is so comfortable, with my comfort level being top priority. I have no questions that this is my dentist for life, and would drive a great distance for his incredible care.

I freak out at dentist offices ...(metaphorically) there is no freaking out here. The staff are friendly helping people. I am always asked about my comfort level a few times while receiving a procedure. And! Dr Appel is one of the best dentists that I have been to!! I'd give more stars if I could.
