One customer said, "Called to schedule an appointment as a New patient and the receptionist Violeta I believe was her name, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I explained to her more than ONCE that I wanted to schedule as a new patient and was in no pain. she kept asking what I needed to be seen for. Like am I supposed to know I need an OP in tooth number #12 or an RCT?" Another customer said, "My first visit with this office went pleasant, and I finally felt comfortable with a dentist. Dr. Heideman had created a care plan for me as I had quite a bit of work done. The first visit was smooth. My second visit came and went, I had some fillings done and they threw off my bite entirely. Through this time I also purchased a dental appliance as I grind and clench my teeth the assistant helping me was great; however again Dr. H was incredibly rude."

I love this practice! I had been going to my childhood dentist for 30+ years, so finding a new dentist was a horrible task. After a couple of awful failures, I found Dr Tobkin at this practice. He was very kind, provided excellent care, skill, awesome beside manner, and follow up was amazing. After everyone I have had any work done, he calls that evening to see how I feel, how my bite is.....just wonderful customer service.

I had to go in as a walk in to fix a botched job by a prior dentist....one of the few I tried before finding Dr Tobkin, and had to see Dr Varner, and he was wonderful as well! Their staff is courteous, efficient, and very kind. What a great experience. I have finally found a dentist I want to stick with!

The specialist were great !! I love the doctors,but there was a assistant and I really disliked her company . she was ingronent and rude she was the specialist assistant as soon as me and my mom walked in she greeted us with o this is a Mexican family. when you can clearly see her Hispanic race too . Then she told my mom I could sit on her lap since there was only one chair .

All of the people are so polite. Every single person there. They make you feel so comfortable about all of the procedures you need done. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with a pretty interesting mix of music. The best music comes from my dentist and dental hygienist. They have very nice voices. When they sing and hum it really makes me feel that I belong there. Soooo friendly and soooo professional. Of course, I think I have the best dentist in the world... Richard Heideman, but all are great dentists. You can't make a better decision than to choose this Comfort Dental for your teeth! Definitely gives you a reason to Smile 😁!

I think the staff is pretty amazing, Dr. Tobkin is super nice and was gentle when giving shots. Thank god . He pulled my wisdom tooth out in under 5 minutes!
But.. the girl at the front desk definitely is bland. She doesnt smile and is absolutely rude to patients. As a business.. i would not want someone like that.

My daughter who's 11.. had 10 teeth (baby teeth) that would not come out on their own. Dr. Heidman did an amazing job with her and made her feel comfortable, made sure to tell her how amazing she was doing during the procedure. The assistant was nice too.

The front desk latina lady was not very friendly and have an attitude. We went this morning for a 9am appointment, first, she didn't greet us or anything. Just gave us the papers to fill, i gave it back to her along with our insurance card and she said " well your insurance is not active, it's $19 for xray today, do you still want to be seen or you wanna just leave?" Well we can afford $19 on my mind.

Do not go to this office. My Boyfriend went here for a tooth ache that has gotten so bad he's unable to eat and they gave him Ibuprofen for the pain. As if he hasn't already tried that. I guess when a 6ft tall black man has pain that is disrupting his life he must be lying and drug seeking. I'm appalled that all he received were a prescription for antibiotics and ibuprofen. Everyone knows that antibiotics will take days to work and he will just have to be in pain until. I wish these doctors and dentist would check their biases. Contrary to what so many of these "providers" (and I use that term loosely) Black people feel pain. It is hard to watch someone you care about get subpar treatment because they don't perceive his pain as real.

Edit-6/28/2020 I see your response and we have nothing to add. We found a dentist that treated his tooth and his pain. Everyone knows that comfort dental is a franchise and is owned and operated by the dentist. My review is to inform people going to YOUR specific office for treatment how they will be treated or in his case not treated.

Dr. Richard K. Heideman is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Firstly, he failed to tell his patient that my tooth will look black and silver after his treatment, with his personal knowledge that, like other teeth, the said tooth was cosmetically white before I sought treatment per Dr. Richard K. Heideman's consultation. Further, he failed to return my phone call properly. Thirdly, he hung up on his patient and told me to go read my papers. Fourthly, he thinks that patient's consent will cover him and denies his responsibility. Well, "you are wrong, sir, when you think that patient's consent will cover your negligence". "No, sir, it does not, and, by the way, you talked to the wrong person!" He also told me not to call or return his office. He thinks that I would want to get treatment from him after his failure to exercise the care of a reasonable doctor. I never want to see him, without him telling me. As a result of his lack of due diligence, I called his office three times to find out why my tooth looked so horribly before he returned my call.

Dr. Richard K. Heideman has a legal duty to tell me, his patient, that white-colored build-up cannot cover my metal pre-existing crown when he knew that I cared about my teeth appearance. Evidently, he had performed multiple fill-ins on my other teeth and was aware that I chose to do white fill-ins for cosmetic purpose. Additionally, my said tooth was white as the metal crown was covered well under a white texture before Dr. Richard K. Heideman performed his build-up. He was aware of my said tooth's appearance. With the change in my tooth appearance without telling me that his white-colored build-up will not cover my metal crown as well as it was, he failed to exercise due diligence. In treatment, I questioned him why the medical assistant asked me about the crown, he answered it is per another doctor's recommendation, for the sake of treating bone loss. He never advised me on the cosmetic purpose of a new crown, neither, gave me any other options to cover the metal, nor making sure that his white build-up will cover the metal crown. Now, he excuses himself that he is not responsible for the awkward looking of his white build-up, which does not look white at all.

Alternatively, it could have been handled well if Dr. Richard K. Heideman had put reasonable care in what he was doing and corrected his mistakes. Dr. Richard K. Heideman, a piece of advice for the rest of your career, sir "Do NOT piss any of your patients off". There are many reasons why you do not want to do that, in terms of legal ethics, business, and propriety.

Like the standpoint of manufacturers and consumers, I hope none will experience what I did; with that being said, you never want to go to this dental office and never want to get any treatment from Dr. Richard K. Heideman, no matter where he works.
