The hygienist had "diagnosed me with periodontitis and bone loss" based upon the x-ray taken on that day. Upon my request, she compared that x-ray to the one taken last year and they looked identical. She even accused the other hygienist of not catching that last year. She refused to do a regular cleaning but instead she was pushing me to do a deep cleaning ASAP and that costs almost $1,000. During last year's visit, a doctor came in to check on my teeth after the x-ray was just taken said my gum looked great, nothing about periodontitis or bone loss. Exactly the same for this time where the doctor actually said my x-ray looks good and no mention of periodontitis or bone loss.

I demanded a regular cleaning since it's already prepaid in the savings plan I had purchased with them. The hygienist said "regular cleaning is not going to do much once you are diagnosed with periodontitis and bone loss." Who diagnosed? Neither doctor did but just herself. She was pushing me way very hard to do a deep cleaning. Kinda generous of her instead offered me a whopping $90 off when I go back for the deep cleaning. Uh, no! After a bit of insistence on my part, she finally agreed to do an express non-thorough cleaning just so I would be swept out of their office. Such "cleaning" was basically a quick run-through of each tooth with a metallic tool finished with a few scratches behind the lower front teeth. Also learned something new from her. Listen to this "Toothpaste does not clean teeth but simply a product that people make profit on. You can indeed brush your teeth with tap water and have the same result as using toothpaste." - coming from a hygienist must be true especially she can diagnose!

The hygienist walked me to check out, I hear from the front desk person that there are several other patients also quoted for deep cleaning. I couldn't help but had to tease her "Ha! Everybody needs a deep cleaning today!" AWKWARD!

I totally agree to those negative reviews some other patients posted, certain people in the office of Summit Family Dentistry are no different from a gold digger!

Highly professional service, but not in a "strictly business"attitude. A warm, friendly,and even jovial spirit is always exhibited by the entire staff.

This place is very nice and the staff is friendly but they are a scam!! Tried to tell me my teeth are bad that I needed a deep cleaning that came to over $800 OUT OF POCKET!! Ya right, good thing I got a second opinion, the next day went to Perfect Teeth and they told me I absolutely do not need a deep cleaning and got a regular cleaning that same day. Would not recommend this place and I’ll never go back.

Its easy to say this is a good practice when everything is going well. After having some more intensive work done, I immediately started having problems. I reported it to the dentist right away. In his defense he tried a few band-aids, but ultimately, the work was done wrong and I told him I believed it was done wrong. The dentist told me that the pain and the problem was my new normal.

Fast forward...their work has now caused additional problems. When I called them to see if they would honor their work, they told me they would've but the work was out of warranty. I never knew this said warranty even existed. They also saw in my records that I had indeed reported this problem on numerous occasions but still made excuses on why they wouldn't help.

I thought this practice had more integrity than this. I won't be returning.

PS-additionally, they're prices are a lot higher than that other dentists.

I’m extremely nervous about dental visits, especially for the first time. Summit Family Dentistry staff are knowledgeable and courteous. They put me at ease and their State-of the-Art equipment makes for a very relaxed and stress free visit.

This is one of the best dentist offices I've ever been to. I've been coming here for at least the last 5 years and every time I feel more and more welcome. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they always calm me down and make me relaxed. The hygienists are amazing and truly care about their patients comfort. Thank you Summit Family! I will forever be a client!

I had a wonderful experience from being greeted at the front desk to completion of my exam and a spontaneous crown prep > I was especially impressed with the professionalism and overall friendliness of the assistant Michelle!! Ai am looking forward to my next visit as well as bringing my wife to Summit Dental as a new patient.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist, until I went to Summit Family Dentistry. Everyone there is kind, thoughtful, and highly skilled. My appointments are a truly painless experience, no matter how much work I need to have done.Dr Arceneaux and Anna were great. I won’t mind coming back to have more work done.

Amazing care! I hated going to the dentist, avoided going for years…but I feel on very good hands here.

My wife and I both had to change our dentist, when our insurance changed. We both tried here and the hygienist told us we both needed deep cleaning at about $800 out of pocket. We got a second opinion from a new, different dentist to see if it was necessary, they said there was absolutely no need for the suggested deep cleaning. Our first dentist of many years never suggested a deep cleaning either. This is just two peoples’ experience, but if an expensive service is suggested it might be worth a second opinion.
