Although my wife and I were generally satisfied with the care we received here, we have moved onto a new dentist as a result of one disappointing, unprofessional experience. While calling around town to obtain quotes for a procedure my wife needed, we were told without hesitation, and after being up front of our confusion regarding its eligibility, that the procedure would be covered by our insurance policy. We assumed that the employee double-checked our records and policy to confirm his assurance was correct. Long story short, we received a rather unexpected $900 bill from Modern Dentistry demanding payment for the procedure we were previously told was covered. They offered to "help" us out by slightly delaying our payment in-full, but never once offered to accept any responsibility for their substantial contribution to the mix-up in the first place. We have moved on and hope our next dental practice is more ethical and honorable than what we experienced with Modern Dentistry.
