Dr A and his entire staff from front desk to dental assistants and hygienists are absolutely fantastic! I actually enjoy going to the dentist now which is no small feat for a person like me with all my teeth problems! Dr A was a referral from a friend of mine when I couldn’t not find a good dentist in the DMV area. Seriously, the best referral I ever received!

I went here for about 8 years, but it became very unpleasant. The hygienist got to be very surly, and when I gently observed that at the last appointment she hadn't seemed very cheerful, she got even worse, snapping at me and actually causing quite a bit of unnecessary but real "discomfort" while she went at me with her various tools. She even said, "Maybe I just care too much!," which didn't make a lot of sense to me. Then the dentist came in and started making fun of my beard, which I also didn't need. It didn't get in his or the the hygienist's way, but he just thought it was funny-looking somehow. As a result, I made an appointment with a different dentist, and these people were very nice and very thorough, fixing some things (such as an old filling) that the Modern Dentistry people hadn't even seen. The hygienist also recommended some changes in how I floss and brush, and those have helped a great deal. I don't know what happened with the people at Modern Dentistry, but they'd certainly gone downhill in the previous year or so from when I started.

The office was clean & fully-furnished with the latest digital technology, and the front desk staff were helpful & friendly. Donna, the dental hygienist, and Dr. Abramson were both thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. I felt well-cared for and left with squeaky clean, healthy teeth!

Best dentist experience I’ve had! Super easy to communicate / schedule with via email, and they were also able to confirm exactly what my insurance would cover before scheduling. Even though they are booked for almost 6mo, my husband and I were both able to get appts within just a couple of weeks off the waitlist. All of the staff - from front desk to hygienist to dentist himself - are incredibly nice and efficient. They were also way more thorough with their exam than any other dentist I’ve been to and explained everything. Highly recommend!

Modern Dentistry provides the best dental care in the Washington, DC area. The front office staff is friendly and detail-oriented. Their hygenists (I've always seen Donna, but all are very good) are thorough, kind, and very caring and careful during this time of Covid-19. I've been a patient of theirs for over ten years and I can say from experience that the entire team provides top notch professionalism and care. The office offers innovative technological advances in dentistry to keep my teeth in great shape. I've had lots of different procedures done by Dr. Ariel Abramson, including root canals, crowns, and fillings, as well as a chipped front tooth that he repaired in between other patients in an emergency. My husband and my kids are patients of Modern Dentistry, too. Since 2019, Modern Dentistry has offered their own form of a pre-paid dental plan, which helps me and my family stay on top of our dental health, without having to worry about copays or coinsurance. I whole-heartedly recommend Modern Dentistry for you and your family! They will take great care of you.

The dental hygienists spent so much time explaining what they were doing. They were caring, punctual, handled insurance with ease, and had an extremely nice office. I find comfort in knowing that as long as I live in DC, they will be my dentists!

I have been going to Modern Dentistry for years now after a dear friend recommended this practice and I must say it is by far the best dental practice and the most friendly and yet professional environment I’ve ever experienced. From the front desk to the whole experience. I see Dr. Abramson for my dental work and Fran Mickle for my regular teeth cleaning. I love them both. I spend more time with Fran and we chat about anything everything, she is very personable and very knowledgeable about her work. I don’t have the best teeth and kind of always hide my smile but every time I go there I leave feeling great with a big smile. I also like how safe, organized and clean is the practice especially during Covid-19, they take great measures of safety and they follow the CDC guidelines. I always feel safe going for my dental work. If you’re looking for a good dental practice I highly recommend modern dentistry in DC.
