I had high hopes for Island Dentistry. Tracy that did my dental cleaning was excellent. The front desk was professional. I liked the Christian music. Dr Scales seemed competent and not excessive in recommended treatment. I had two cracked teeth that needed crowns and I was glad to know that they have the technology to produce the permanent crowns onsite (CEREC Technology).

Everything was going fine until he put the first crown on the wrong tooth. At that point it had to ground off and another crown made. I also had to have more shots of pain killer since it was wearing off. I had been in the chair for 3 hours.

I was aghast on how that could happen. Was there no formal way to label the crowns to correspond with the tooth it goes on? Evidently not.

I am a trained safety and health person and an accident investigator. It's been my experience that mishaps similar to this often indicate systemic problems in processes. It takes a procedure change and training to prevent recurrence. I made a suggestion to a dental tech (Amber, I believe) on one simple way to prevent recurrence. I have no idea if that has happened since my visit.

This appointment was in January. I intentionally waited this long to not be biased by my emotions. BTW, no one called me even after I cancelled my next appointment. I was very disappointed in the visit. They did give me a gas card. I thought it was a weak gesture.

I arrived early, Robert took me back quickly and prepped me so I was ready when Dr. Scales finished up in next door station. Gave me the option to numb but I went without and two procedures went quickly within no pain. Talked with front desk about insurance vs. VIP plan and have decided to go with their VIP plan for next year. Great experience continues and we often recommend Island Dentistry to others.

Dr. Scales and staff were awesome. They always make you feel comfortable and explain what they are about to do in regards to dental procedures. I highly recommend them as for all your dental needs.

I saw Allison and Dr. Erminy today. They were both really nice and my cleaning went really well. My xrays were really quick and easy. Dr. Erminy was nice and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. They told me about ph and it's effects on my teeth so I can't live on Monster drinks any more. lol. This made my mom happy. I really like this office and everyone is great and keeping us safe with covid stuff going on.

I love to visit my dentist! That's not something one can usually say. They are very kind, professional, and everyone has a gentle touch. It helps that they schedule appointments appropriately and don't make you wait like some offices. They even do full crowns in a day! I've recommended them to my neighbors and friends and will continue to do so. Thanks Island Dentistry!

Very friendly, walked me thru the xrays and what they saw I needed to have done. Cost was very reasonable. Hygienists and dentists were very patient and explained all options to me. I will be bringing my whole family here.

I came in for my annual teeth cleaning and have never had better service. Sarah, was so kind and personable, yet remained professional throughout the entirety of my visit. I dread going to the dentist and have never had a great experience until yesterday. Thank you Sarah for being the perfect example of what excellent customer service looks like. She explained everything to me in detail and answered all of my questions carefully while encouraging me to keep up the good work on my teeth.

I honestly wish I had not waited so long. I needed a good bit of work done to get me back on track. They really helped me to prioritized my care. I was able to get some of the major things done that I NEEDED but also, to boost my confidence, Dr. Scales made sure to fit in the cosmetic work that I really WANTED. I still have some things to take care of, but I know I'm in good hands. They are truly "gentle" dentists And they have the latest in technology. They used a 3-D printer to print out my crown right in their office! The dental profession has come a long way. It sure feels good to smile again!

I have been with Island dentistry for a few years now and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, helpful, professional and very knowledgeable. I really like my dentist as well. I have had a cap done in the past and have never had any trouble with it. It fit perfectly. Other than that, I have just had routine cleanings and x-rays so I haven't had to work with the dentist much. They are keeping a close watch on a couple of potential problems which is comforting to me. With other facilities, they seem to drop the ball and something bad happens that cost alot of money and permanent damage. They are very pro active. Would recommend them to anyone!
