Dr. Scales is a wonderful dentist. I have avoided the dentist due to my jaw issues. I have not been able to open my mouth fully. I finally went to see him and he was so comforting. He didn't make me feel like I was an issue and actually diagnosed an issue with my jaw bone causing the limited range. I'm looking forward to getting fully functional again. I highly recommend him especially if you're a little nervous to see the dentist.

Money hungry! I’ve been coming here for a few years and I’ve always felt like just another number. The hygienist are great, it’s just the business as a whole that I don’t really feel comfortable with. After spending nearly $4,000 over the past 3 years or so, they can no longer get my business! My teeth and overall dental hygiene has always been great, so I’m not sure why they always seem to find something to “fix”. I guess they have to pay for all the unnecessary high tech equipment they use.. who knows!!!

I had 2 crowns (in office) and a filling done by Dr Scales and Hyatt and Jessica (a little). Above all, expert care. Dr Scales does a great job with putting you at ease with the procedure. I was nervous about the anastesia and thanks to the Dr, I had ZERO pain! Very knowledgeable and Wonderful staff treats you like family from start to finish! Michelle, patient care coordinator, completes your day! I look forward to my next office visit!

IMy family has been going to Island Dentistry for at least 10 years now. I've always had an excellent experience there from the office staff, hygienists, to Dr. Scales. In most recent years they have added some different office staff up front and they are exceptional. My hygienist Mindy is top notch. Dr. Scales always does a great job and caught a potentially harmful condition I had a few years ago and I was fixed up. I would recommend Island Dentistry to anyone looking in the Fleming Island/OP area.

I would highly recommend Island Dentistry. Everyone - dentists, hygienists, office staff - is knowledgeable and friendly. I never feel rushed, and everyone takes the time to answer my questions. The office is very welcoming and clean. All the equipment looks new and up-to-date.
