I have been to Dr. Hughes for dental care several times over the past year, including for an emergency visit. He and his staff have always been very accomodating, courteous, and professional. The atmosphere in the office is always positive and congenial to the patients and with each other. I'm glad I found Dr. Hughes and I love the membership plan! So good to pay a small monthly fee and get wonderful dental coverage without being wacked with a huge bill all at once!

I’ve been using Dr Hughes for nearly 20 years now. I’ve had dental problems predating my move to Gainesville and the team there has always been very accommodating and professional. I always feel like family when I go to his office. From the front desk staff to the hygienists and Dr. Hughes personally, I know they are going to treat me fairly and with genuine concern for my health. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone looking to switch dentists.

My husband and I have had extensive dental work done by Dr Hughes ranging from simple cleanings to veneers, crowns and implanted teeth. We have always been extremely pleased with the outcome. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. They have me checked in before I barely get inside. I have never waited longer than 15 minutes, usually being called back before I can even get my book opened. Dr. Hughes and his staff in back are very professional and friendly. I feel like I am going to visit friends when I go there. I very strongly disagree with these bad reviews. Dr. Hughes himself has called me when I have made an appointment for an issue to discuss the problem and formulate the right plan of care! I have recommended him to many friends and family.

Dr. Hughes and his team gave me a great experience as a first time patient. They were able to accommodate me on short notice and treat an urgent problem in just two days! Im happy to have found a reliable dentist in a new town.

I went to the dentist for the first time in an embarrassingly long amount of time and it was great!!! The office was clean, the receptionist was SUPER nice, the dental hygienists were SUPER nice and helpful and Dr. Hughes was amazing. His bedside manner was awesome, he was very informative and not at all condescending. They were very upfront about prices before doing the work and were understanding about my financial situation. I HIGHLY recommend them. I'm actually looking forward to going to the dentist.

I cannot recommend this dental practice. Was told on the phone the day before my appointment that it would cost $180 for an exam with no x-rays and a cleaning. However, when I got there I was told that I must pay for x-rays. Once I tried to take charge of and make my own health care decisions by trying to decline the x-rays, the dentist was very quick to lecture me and say things like, “I’m pretty sure you don’t have a medical degree and I do.” I felt very uncomfortable and condescended to. It was so clear to me that they wanted a certain dollar amount per patient per year, and once I tried to make a decision about my own dental care that might bring that dollar amount down, they tried to pressure me to spend more money. They made me feel ignored and ripped off. I won’t go back.

very clear communication of the problems that my teeth have, as well as options to fix the same problems. also gave clear instructions on how to prevent issues long term. great staff that was very helpful. Dr.Hughs works very efficiently and doesn’t sugar coat anything, which I appreciate since I’m not very knowledgeable on dental health. will be coming back for cleanings regularly.
