FRAUD ALERT!!!
I called the offices of Exceptional Dentistry and spoke to a lovely young lady who explained to me that they could get my daughters teeth straight in two weeks, maybe sooner. It sounded too good to be true but I scheduled an appointment for my daughter to get additional information.
It was probably the most frightening experience she's had. We were completely mislead thinking she was going to get braces (or something similar) but Dr. Mowery wanted to shave down her teeth with veneers. Veneers are not braces...I actually thought Dr. Mowery was a trained orthodontist.
Dr. Mowery actually made the statement that an orthdontist would straighten my teeth in two years vs. his doing it in two weeks. He proceeded to tell us that clinically the treatment was the same but that his result would by much more aesthetically pleasing. He said that most of his patients come to him after they've been to an orthodontist as an orthdontist couldn't get the same aesthetic results.
We left the office with great concern and distrust. My daughter was actually afraid to tell her husband what happened fearing he would drive up to their office and make a major scene.
We followed up with another office (Pappas & Tappley). They rolled their eyes when I told them what Dr. Mowery said. The doctor (I don't remember which one it was) actually made the statement that if you can't say something nice she wouldn't say anything at all (she remained silent). She did state emphatically that straightening my daughters teeth was clinically much better than just putting veneers on the front teeth. She said braces would fix my daughters bite and veneers could not do that.
I feel very deceived and lied to. Who would think a doctor would stoop to that level of trickery and dishonesty.

If their gimmickery sounds too good to be true - listen to your instict
My insurance said they charge 3 times what they should and I had to pay the overcharged difference.
Worse yet, my smile / dental appearance is so much uglier than when I started. Im not kidding .. Incredibly dissappointed.
I dont trust them enough to go back to fix it. And by the way...I Never did see the (Mr) Dr. Mowrey
