Dr. Ottesen is a wonderful dentist who cares about her patients. She gently explains what she is doing throughout each procedure and makes sure that her patients are relaxed and comfortable at all times. She truly knows what she is doing, and does it well!

We moved our entire family to Ottesen Family Dentistry in order to find a medical professional who is still taking COVID precautions seriously in order to protect our high-risk family members and friends. Ottesen Family Dentistry definitely fits the bill! Most staff were wearing high-quality, well-fitting masks, HEPA filters were running throughout the space, they utilized vacuum technology during aerosol-generating procedures, and they seemed to schedule appointments such that the space was not overly-crowded. The dental technician put it perfectly when explaining why behind some of their precautions: when we learn from global health crises, we adapt accordingly (like when HIV/AIDS was discovered and folks started wearing masks and gloves for procedures). Similarly, we learned long ago that our water needed to be cleaned to prevent the spread of pathogens, and now we need to clean our indoor air. The two-hour initial visit flew buy as they took numerous pictures and x-rays in order to establish a baseline, and did an excellent job of explaining what they saw and why they asked the questions they did. It was a very pleasant experience and I did not feel that I was being "sold" anything. I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the family receiving thoughtful care.

Going to Dr. Ottensen’s is always a positive experience! All of the staff are friendly and she explains all procedures, fielding any questions in detail. She always takes time to make sure every visit is a good one. Very thankful she is my dentist!

TRICARE = Out of Network. Sad to have to leave.
Dr. Ottesen has been my family’s dentist since we moved here 8 years ago. Her and her team have provided us the best dental care we have ever experienced and we were saddened to learn that TRICARE no longer accepts her office as an in network provider. If you’re a military retiree or active duty family just know that your co-pay is ridiculously expensive. A dental exam and cleaning for me and my child cost me almost $600 out of pocket. Hate it has to be this way, but we have to look elsewhere for dental, we will definitely miss the Ottesen team!

Love the office and staff... very warm and comforting. I had a very friendly welcome by the front desk staff who informed me of the details of my visit. My wait for the cleaning was very short. My cleaning was thorough and professionally completed. Dr Ottesen came to my chair after the cleaning and gave me a thorough exam and we discussed an ongoing tooth concern that she had been following. I would highly recommend Dr. Ottesen’s practice for all looking for excellent care!
