Dr Hood and the staff have been excellent. Everything from wisdom teeth pulled, teeth cleaning, and Invisalign I’ve had done here. They’re kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. Every time I come in they’re friendly and I feel at home. I highly recommend Dr Hood.

Adding this again. Had issues with billing in the past. Total given to you, what you’re charged, and what they try to charge the insurance are all different numbers. You could be in network 100% coverage and still get charged for your cleanings.
After months of going back and forth I finally got a majority of what I overpaid back. I went again for my cleaning… and what do you know… they didn’t send the info new insurance provider was requesting. EOB I owe $0… I’ve moved since then and now I have a collection on credit for less than $100. The staff is great, the billing is totally unethical and unorganized.
That said be sure to check your EOB matches with what you actually paid and you aren’t charged for things that you shouldn’t have been. They will not let you know themselves you overpaid.

Dr. G is really chill and nice. Every employee here are really nice. The facilities are clean. Ms. Sonora is so lovely. She made me feel really comfortable. Eased my nerves.

The hygienist was excellent very personable but the front office seems do not have their Cells together when it comes to paperwork and how you make your payments They were not very friendly

My experience at The Dentist Place was extremely pleasant! They have recently remodeled so everything looks very nice and clean the moment you walk in the door! Everyone that works there is very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about any questions I had. My hygienist was Michelle and she did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and leaving them feeling shinny and clean! Not only is she very knowledgeable, Michelle’s joyful and caring personality really makes going to the dentist a great experience! I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

First let me start off by saying that this experience was amazing. I have had a fear of going to dentist since I was a child. And the staff at this office are so nice and easy going. They made everything easy for me. I first want to thank Nikki who I first encountered. She explained everything to me in detail about what the plan was and that I didn’t need to be scared. I was just there for an exam to see what needed to be done, but I had several bad teeth that I have neglected to take care of, but they were able to fit me in to get them pulled out and to do my root canal. The second person I encountered was Danielle. She was also very professional and sweet natured. She explained to me what she was about to do before she did it. They made me comfortable while I was preparing to get my mouth worked on. Now Dr. Goulding is a treasure. Again as I stated before I was just suppose to have an exam. But Dr. Goulding fit me in so I wouldn’t be in pain anymore. Just to show you how dedicated he is to helping his patients,he passed up going to lunch to get me taken care of. The whole staff was very pleasant and professional. I didn’t feel judged or out of my comfort while I was there. So I also just want to thank the team at The Dentist Place in Orange Park.
