Exclusive Dentistry

Brief Summary: Just for the record, I have been a patient at Exclusive Dentistry for almost two years. I have had several cavities filled; a root canal and five crowns put in. I would highly recommend Exclusive Dentistry to anyone that wants great dental care from a very professional team of service providers. I honest feel that Dr. Quintero and his staff respect my time and hard earned money. Hopefully you will share and enjoy the same experience that I have had. On the second thought, scratch the word “enjoy” from the previous sentence. "Enjoy" is probably not a word that goes hand in hand with a dental office visit but you know what I was trying to say :-)

If I am to give an honest review, I need to be honest about myself first. I am a 47 year old man who has needed a lot of dental care for the past 25 years. I am not blessed with good strong teeth. Over the years, I have used many different dentists in various parts of the country. All of them have been great dentists as far as performing dental work is concerned. Dr. Quintero is of no exception, and I would even go as far as putting him among the best dentists I have been under care of.

One of the things that set Exclusive Dentistry apart from other dentistries I have used is his staff. I think there may have been almost a complete turnover of the staff the last year or so if I am not mistaken. If I have to guess, that could not have been due to the lack of professionalism of the staff members. The initial crew there when I first became a patient was good, and I honestly think it has gotten even better. Office operation is efficient and highly coordinated. I feel that everyone there works at a very fast pace most of the time. The only time when I felt the pace slowed down was when I was in the chair receiving dental work. Not that I felt pain and had the feeling time passed too slowly. To the contrary, I never felt pain – what I felt was the procedures being performed were done with great care and I felt totally at ease. Each time at the end of my appointments, I always felt that all my time spent in that office has been productive time for me with minimal sit-and-wait time. For my past visits, I did see many other patients there, but I don’t feel that they overbooked. Even if they did, I could not tell since I never had to wait long going from station to station. I checked in, reviewed treatment plan and cost estimate with coordinator, received prep work from dental assistant, got work done by the skilled doctor himself, reviewed my next treatment plan, made my next appointment, and off I went with my busy daily routine.

The other aspect about Exclusive Dentistry that I really appreciate is the sense of great value that I get for my money. Granted that I have to budget for and spend around $1,500 out of pocket each year due to the numerous and extensive work that I need, I feel that Dr. Quintero and his staff do go out of their way to help me stretch my money to get the most amount of work done within my budget. In the past, I have always felt like a cash cow to many of my previous dentists. Sometimes I felt that those dentists pushed me to accept using procedures and materials that would maximize their profits. They would also rush me to get any dental work that they felt I needed without regard to my budget. Not so with Exclusive Dentistry in my opinion. Dr. Quintero and his staff would carefully consider my insurance coverage and choose to deliver the services that are best for me. At least that’s how I feel. They would even help me navigate around the yearly insurance cap and my medical flexible spending account cycles to optimize those benefits that I have. I even have a sneaky feeling that Dr. Quintero may have done some extra work for me a few times without charge so that I could delay certain procedures until such time when my insurance cap resets.

Efficient, friendly service! My appointments are always on time and I can easily get in and out on a lunch hour for my cleaning! Dr. Quintero and my hygenist, Alfa, have gentle hands, are thorough and explain everything so I always know what to expect. I've been going here for over 3 years and highly recommend them!

I love Dr. Quintero and his staff. They are friendly, kind, caring and very professional. They take their time with you and answer any questions you may have. Dr. Quintero is a compassionate caring genuine person, he cares about what’s best for his patients. I love them... I highly recommend them!!!

What a great experience. Truly a great staff. Dr. Quintero was very professional and explained what would be in my best interest for health and future tooth preservation. Got scheduled as a new patient right away, had a procedure, and setup my future appointment all very easily. Will be my go to in East Orlando.

I guess if you don’t call to confirm the day of…they blame you for being late to your appointment! Even though a confirmation call happened the day before with the correct time. Poor communication with the staff at the front desk. After 9 loyal years, they’ve lost a family of 6!

I had tooth pain so I went to this dentist. My first visit was to find out what was wrong. It was a nice office they seemed like nice people but right off the bad the dental hygienist lied to me to get me to get a deep cleaning that cost an extra $60 but I knew she was lying so I said no. That should have been my que to run but the dentist was nice and I knew that dental offices can be a bit shady and try to upcharge for every service. Also I was in a lot of pain and need urgent help. So I scheduled to have my wisdom tooth removed. The procedure was simple and quick. The dentist only used forceps and the tooth came out without any drama. I was also told that I needed three fillings. So I decided to do two of them two days later. Now I’ve never had fillings before but I thought I heard you had to be numbed for a filling and I wasn’t in fact the procedure was pain less and also quick and the pain went away for a day or two before it came flooding back.
When I checked my insurance claim I saw that my copay was $85 which was weird because I paid $140. When I called them to let them know the finance woman Rose told me that I wasn’t over charged and that she would change the coding on the bill and resubmit the claim. When I looked at the coding description for the new claim it was for a complicated removal where the dentist would have to cut my jaw open to get the tooth out. Like I said my procedure was simple so they scammed me. I decided to go to another dentist office because I was still in pain. When the new dentist checked my teeth she said I didn’t have fillings but that they put in something called sealants on my teeth which is used to prevent cavities because I never needed any fillings. So that means they conned me out of $205 (this includes the $55 I was overcharged for my wisdom tooth removal and the $150 I paid to put in what I believed was two fillings). This all occurred in January and I am writing this review now because while all this was going on I was also dealing with a major medical issue that I’ve just gotten a handle on recently. My point is DO NOT GO to this dentist Dr. Quintero is a con artist they all are. From the receptionist Sue to Rose the finance person, the dental hygienist, and the dentist himself they all know what’s going on and they are all more than willing to take advantage of good people. STAY FAR AWAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

So sad Dr Jorge Quintero retired. Called office numerous times before I was able to make appt. Doctor that treated me was so business like. It was all about scaring me, nickel and dimming me and getting me to prepay for a very expensive treatment. No compassion just $$.

I went in today for a routine visit which includes a cleaning, exam, and x-ray but the hygienist told me because I took too long filling out my paperwork she could only do the X-ray and exam and I can reschedule for the cleaning. That was so unprofessional of her which made not get any service done or want to go back there. I usually have good experiences there but today the hygienist was rude.

This is my first visit with Dr. Quintero. He performed a root canal that I knew had to be done. Having had bad and painful dental experiences I was very pleased to find that was not the case here. The doctor is at the cutting edge of dental technology treatments and explained to me what was going to be done. I will be going back for the second treatment and will follow up on the feedback. Very satisfied so far.

Very clean atmosphere. Honest and friendly dentist and dental assistant. It's nice to have a dentist that tells you what you actually need instead of trying to sell you on the most expensive services. I have a scar from a few years ago that I asked Dr. Quintero about and he was so helpful in explaining my options. Any questions I had he took the time to explain and made sure I understood. Thank you Dr. Quintero and the Exclusive Dentistry staff for a great experience!
