After not having been to the dentist in a while decided to call and got in quickly, the staff was the most friendly of any medical I've ever seen. I'm extremely needle-phobic so after a few times of trying to get me numbed up to put a crown on they prescribed me something that would help, and in my more imparted state took great care of me when I couldn't walk and even went far enough to tuck me in with a blanket to make sure I was comfortable. They really go above and beyond when it comes to their patients care. I definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!

The professionalism of the office staff at this location is laughable. If you want to call to make an appointment, good luck getting through. It took me over a month to get through to someone (even after leaving voicemails) and the only reason I got through was because someone from the Tampa office personally made sure I was transferred over. When I finally got someone, I kindly told them the troubles that I had been having with getting through and asked if there was something going on with their phones. Her reply was "I don't work in the front, I work in the back...so" which was SUPER nice and helpful. They're very booked, but that won't last long with this office staff. YIKES. The hygienists are nice, but if you're thinking about making the switch to this dentist, I wouldn't bother wasting your time.

WARNING Do not go here. I never ever complain but I felt compelled to share this so others don’t make the same mistake.
You take a day off of work to have schedule an appointment here for a cavity to get fixed and show up for them to tell you we can’t fix the cavity until you have a deep cleaning. Then schedule me 3 months out for a cleaning! Stay away and I hope others learn from my mistake.

My experience with the dental hygienists and Dr Phelps has been amazing. My whole family has had treatments done with other doctors that I believe no longer are in this office but most recently with Dr. Phelps, she’s very caring and as much as I’d want to continue seeing her, the receptionist at this dental office in Wesley chapel is the rudest front line person I’ve dealt with. I was actually glad when I finished my treatment because talking to her on the phone was a nightmare. She made everything so complicated. More recently we called again for an emergency to find out the cost and she said she couldn’t give a range of prices for this treatment, she has no tact no empathy whatsoever. It seems like all she wants to do is get off the phone. To be working in the healthcare industry you have to have empathy and compassion for patients and this woman has zero. It’s a shame I can’t go to my all time dentist because of this Spanish lady (I don’t recall her name but she’s Puerto Rican). Immediately after hanging up with her, I called other places to get an estimate over the phone and they were so kind and were able to give me a price range and the service I receive was totally the opposite. It’s a shame my family and I will not be going back to this dental office because of one employee. So disappointed.

After waiting three weeks for my appointment, and receiving two calls reminding me that I HAD to be there by 2:45, I arrived to a notice at 2:44 saying they were at lunch and would not be back until later, at 3. Most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a dentist's office. Just try anywhere else.
