Sorry about the long post, but people need to be aware.
As I found out from my visit the CARING Dentist seems to care only about the almighty $$$
I was misled and lied to regarding what was explained to me as a temporary replacement for a broken tooth. This was only to be used until the process of an implant was fully completed. What I was presented with when I went in to pick it up was a "retainer" type apparatus. This was misrepresentation & NEVER explained during the initial consult. The technician was adamant that it was. The dentist never even bothered to get involved. Total lies as I know I would NEVER have agreed to a retainer type contraption. I would rather have gone without.
In addition I was told that I was not required to make an actual appointment to pick up the tooth "replacement" that it would take only a couple minutes. I was very clear that I had another appointment & would have a 15 minute window. I was assured that would be more then enough time for me to come in & be on my way. They kept me waiting for almost 30 minutes stating they were waiting for a technician to become available, making me late for my appointment. As I could easily see during my wait, it was very obvious that techs were standing around doing basically nothing. Yes, I was irate for multiple reasons & left without the apparatus (which, on top of all else, was ill fitting when they attempted to insert it in my mouth).
Of course no one has called me back to discuss options and they have over $400 of my money plus, I am sure, more collected thru my insurance company.

I brought mom for pain in wisdom tooth. Dr. PARASHER and staff were amazing at managing this. The assistant took pictures and an x ray. Dr. PARASHER came and examined mom. Recommend extraction. We agreed. He gave anesthesia and removed it in less than 15 min. Mom never felt a thing!! Overall very efficient care!!

Update - Please go somewhere else for your dental needs. They have now shifted to charging you for non-routine services during your visit, but not telling you that there is an upcharge. In addition, the exams are shoddy and you have to bring issues to their attention, otherwise, they will be neglected and cause costly problems later. There are plenty of dentists in Wesley Chapel who provide thorough care, with transparent pricing. This office is not one of them. Also, their staff is constantly changing. Not a good sign when they can't keep employees.
I have been visiting this office for about three years. I've seen both Dr. Phelps and Dr. Parasher. The dentists are personable and attentive. The support staff is another story. It's tough to book an appointment because they rarely pick up the phone. Follow through is poor as well. For example, I booked an appointment with the office manager, confirmed the date and time, and she never entered the information into their system! The dentists do good work, but the support staff leaves much to be desired. Given that they're the patient's first impression of the practice, an effort should be made to step up their responsiveness and follow through.
