04/08/21-Review on Christine:
I arrived at the dental office around 12:40pm for my Annual Teeth Cleaning appointment. As soon as I walked in and approached to the receptionist, she checked my temperature and asked me covid related questions to see if I have covid. Everything was fine with me. The receptionist then gave me the patient information and questionnaire sheets to fill out. I did.

On the questionnaire, one of the questions was "have you breathing problems?"

I wrote: "No, unless when I wear a mask." (In another word, I am unable to wear a mask)

After about 10 minutes (or so) of me returning the information and questionnaire sheets back to the receptionist:

1. A person named Christine came to the reception area and demanded me to wear a mask.

2. I respectfully replied that I am unable to wear a mask due to I can't breathe with it and it has already caused rashes on my face (around my mouth), and the some rashes are still left on my face. I tried to show her my rashes.

3. She interrupted me 3 times while I was trying to explain to her I am unable to wear a mask. She refused to hear me but kept on saying "if you do not have a documentation that says you cannot wear a mask, we won't see you today."

4. I respectfully said: "documentation...? Are you familiar with ADA and HIPAA law? She nodded then shook her head as she refused to hear me and continued to repeat "documentation or we won't see you." This time she said it with Humiliating tone of voice, and she made eye contacts with the receptionists, and the receptionists started giving me Humiliation looks.

5. I then said "with all due respect, do you not care patient's rights and civil rights? Mask is not a law...I simply cannot wear a mask..."

6. She shook her head again and kept on repeating " documentation or it means you don't want to wear a mask, and You cannot Not wanting to wear a mask."

7. I then kindly asked her: "But I am only walking thru the door, and then I'll be sitting down for Teeth Cleaning, I then will not be able to have the mask on anyways...?"

8. She replied with raised voice this time: " I know that. If you don't have any documentation and Not wearing the mask, we won't see you today."

At this point, after all the humiliations and she somehow just refuse to be professional and to be reasonable, I left the office.
________________
It is unlawful to require a documentation from a person for not wearing a mask. It is a violation of Nuremberg Law alone not to mention ADA, HIPAA and both Federal and State Civil Rights...

Also, I would like to respectfully use a logical common sense to make an example: would she require documentation from everyone that enters that office in A Wheelchair because her personal opinion doesn't believe that person is really unable to walk...? Would she also humiliate them if they do not have the documentation that she unreasonably (or unlawfully) requires? Would she also shake her head if they ask her to preserve their civil rights and patient rights?

Mask is a personal opinion based recommendation. For the researches I and many people I know, have done, It does not have any scientific or clinical proof that it prevents any virus. One simple fact is that You breathe the recycled air with a Mask, which it indeed has proofs of causing bacteria, lack of fresh air, oxygen deprivation, pneumonia, lung disease, anxiety and or such health damages...

For those who argue "Liability issue", then the Liability goes both ways; for instance, what if a person got sick from the mask due to breathing in bacteria and oxygen deprivation, and you are the one who forced that person to wear the mask...?

Moreover, what Christine did, was apparent to me that it wasn't about health...It was in fact showing that she cared more about exercising and abusing her power to enforce tyranny than she cared about her profession...

The staff is extremely professional and conscious of HIPA guidelines. They adapted safely to the Corona guidelines by limiting am’t of patients in waiting area. I love our Dentist (Dr. Todoki). She is gentle and understanding of my son’s special needs.
