Incompetent, Uncaring Dentist!
I have been misdiagnosed on two separate occassions by the same incompetent, female dentist.
Both occassions, I was awake all night in agonizing pain and I called the office at 8am sharp to schedule emergency appointments, as my pain was unbearable and I had been awake all night in horrible, throbbing pain.
Both times, the dentist sent me home with no antibiotics for my throbbing, infected tooth and no pain pills for the unbearable pain. She said she could not see any infection!
Both times, the dentist expected me to wait THREE WEEKS in pain, until they had a qualified oral surgeon from Oahu there who could extract my infected tooth.
Both times, I had to drive 40+ minutes back to dentist the following day because my face had swollen up so vally and my pain wax unbesrsble!!! The dentist ssid she hsd to visualize the extreme swelling and ONLY THEN, would she agree to prescribe an antibiotic! My wife offered to email pictures to save me ftom having to drive all the way back in while I wastill in dire pain... the dentist said, No.
I am nearly 60 years old. I very, very rarely take pills unless I am in extreme pain or have an infection...
I was in EXTREME AGONY!
I asked the dentist to prescribe something for my pain other than Tylenol 3 or hydrocodone, (which I told her I already had both left over from a previous infection, and neither of them helped.)
However the dentist refused to prescribe anything! She said she could not see any sign of infection and she scheduled me to return in THREE WEEKS to have an oral surgeon extract the aching tooth!
That night, I was in agony. The following morning, the entire side of my face had swollen so much, the pain and swelling was up into my ear and I had a migraine headache.
My wife called the dentist office to ask them to phone in a prescription for an antibiotic.
They refused. The receptionist insisted I needed to drive all the way back to the office for the dentist to 'see' the swelling in personnel before prescribing an antibiotic!
Once again, before I left the office, I specifically asked the dentist for Percocet, as I have never tried it before and hydrocodone doesn'the help. The dentist refused and gave me TYLENOL!
It infuriates me that I am made to PLEAD & BEG for pain relievers and made to feel like a drug addict at 59yrs old! I hate taking pain meds, as they bind me up, however my when I am in excruciating pain and I tell the dentist I need something stronger than Tylenol, and the dentist can clearly see how swollen my gum is and see how miserable I feel, and she still treats me as though I am just trying to get drugs to get high, it is cruel, humiliating and insulting!

I had my teeth thoroughly cleaned yesterday with 100% satisfaction. The hygienist was professional, personable and detailed. I’m very happy with the work performed on me!

Appointment was on time and all staff are pleasant and friendly. But it would make better use of the hygienist 's time if blood pressure and medical record review were done in a triage setting by front office staff.

Adam was so awesome with my daughter. He's eneretic, happy, friendly and all of the above...just the kind of aloha-ness we need during this struggling times.

Dr. Mau and staff is amazing. I am not one that is very tolerable but with Dr. Mau I did not feel a thing. The office is kind and caring. Kinda makes me wish I found their office sooner.

Took my 3 yr old son to see Dr. Lee for the first time, he was amazing! I had a lot of questions that he was able to answer. Very kind & explains everything very well. His staff is also very helpful! I would highly recommend! Thank you guys!

Besides having one of the most tranquil window views I can think of, my Doc (Dr. Hamakawa) and all the staff are very friendly, funny, and professional. I have had several major procedures and all without problems.

Edwin did a thorough and comprehensive job, 5 stars.
I must say though, the 'exam' part was anything but, 1 star.

It was about 3 minutes long! I would have liked that to be thorough as well..

Thanks for asking. I was very happy with the way the Doctors and assistants took care of me and help me solve my issues. I felt they took extra time to make sure everything was understood. I am grateful.
