Doctor Spivek is the best dentist I have seen in 40 years. He did a bite adjustment that transformed my mouth from what I thought was just normal pain I had to live with and now I have no mouth pain at all. He is truly amazing, caring and does an excellent job that really no one else ever did. I have never met a dentist that cares this much. We are truly blessed that he is in Hilo. If I could give a million stars I would. Hands down best dentist ever. Thank you so much.

The Entire staff is Super Friendly and very educated....they were very very accommodating to me as a single parent and my son who was already nervous. The girls at the front desk were Excellent and Doctor Peter Lee and his assistant were extremely detailed and very polite when I spoke with them! Their work is beyond what I expected! Excellent teeth work! We are very beyond satisfied with our first experience their and also our following visits! Highly recommend this dentist! 👍🏽👍🏽

Who ever said going to the dentist was not a good experience hasn't BUT my experience yesterday transends all other comments and concrens......
OK LETS THE PROBLEMS OUT OF THE WAY....I cannot talk or answer questions as much as i want to or scratch my nose as everytime your in my mouth your conversations make me laugh, etc.
I understand good patient practices but YOURE GREAT purtting up with my procrastions with flausing, etc...
You made a visit enjoyable? when it could be worse..root canal...

The orthodontist was very caring and professional. She put me right at ease then started in on the deep cleaning. My dentist had explained the procedure at my last visit so made it more pleasant. The orthodontist was so pleasant and kind. She made sure I was aware of process and told me raise my hand if any pain occurred . I felt very comfortable and safe in her capable hands. I am very glad I joined this family dentistry.

Dr. Spivak, Shontell and Dane provide the most professional and polite service I have ever experienced at a dental office. They are true people persons and make me feel relaxed under what I consider a stressful situation. The front office personnel are friendly and efficient. Please keep up the good work.

I considered a 3-star review but there were some very positive parts of the experience. I was scheduled for a routine exam/x-rays and teeth cleaning. Prior to my appointment, I was sent more than a dozen reminders, via email, text, and phone call. So many reminders! When I arrived, I was met with excellent Covid precautions, which I was happy to see. The hygienist, Chantelle, was fantastic. Best hygienist ever! She told me that the exam/xrays would need to be rescheduled to a separate appointment as the Dentist wasn't there! With the many multitudes of appointment reminders sent, It would have been nice to know that my upcoming appointment was only half an appointment. Had they notified me that the dentist wasn't going to be there, I would have had the opportunity to reschedule for just one appointment rather than two.
Again, Chantelle, the hygienist, was truly great and, if not for her, I really would have been annoyed at the inconvenience.

Returning to the USA after spending 40 yrs. in India & S.America, when I started receiving checks from the govt. (first time in my life this, a regular income!) I started ordering stuff online & often got refunds by writing reviews. Last review I wrote, however, turned into a bit of a fiasco such that felt like I don't want to write reviews anymore.
However, in this instance I am more than happy to say that Dr.Myers & everyone there at Hawaii Family Dental are a pleasure to be around. I hope that all of you there understand how fortunate you are to have her (Dr.Myers) especially since she loves you all very much back.

I just hope we can go back to behaving like friendly, caring human beings & give up this induced panic based on nothing other than concocted statistics & other smoke & mirrors.
