The best dentist experience I have ever had. Period.

Staff was excellent. Had a big cavity that was borderline needing a root canal but rather than immediately sell me on the more expensive service, the doctor opened up the tooth and determined that a root canal was not necessary at this time. Most dentists seem to just go for the bigger sale it seems these days, Dr. Mattos did what was right.

No pain at all during the filling procedure. Took time to numb with gel before the shot which I haven't had before, totally worth it. Then carefully tested the sensitivity before starting with the drill. They even had glasses so that I wasn't blinded by that spotlight they need to work.

Today, the doctor personally called my cell phone to check to see how I was doing. It wasn't even a major procedure and of course I am doing just fine but I was so shocked that he took the time to call.

This is the best treatment, service, and follow up care I have ever had from any doctors office.

I've been seeing Dr. Matto for the past 5 years. He’s fast, experienced and knowledgeable. I started with him at Ala Moana Dental Care and followed him over to Diamond Head Dental Care. I go to both locations for cleanings and check-ups. It’s great having a choice of 2 locations. I simply pick the location that fits my schedule for that day. The staff is friendly and efficient. I love that I can reserve appointments via email since I sometimes can’t get to the phone during business hours. Dental cleanings are super-fast, and only take 45 minutes. They validate parking at the Ala Moana location. I've referred several people to Diamond Head Dental Care, and they've enjoyed their experience too. It’s a well-run business!

Wow! Wow wow! I have had the greatest experience ever! Really really really! I got to the office at 7am and I was very nervous and one part of me wanted to say thank you! But no thank you! Yes! I Was worried above all worrying!!! Then I walk into the office and right away the staff greeted me and asked me to have a seat! Then a very nice lady came out to have me sign some papers and she was so nice and caring! She made me feel that everything was going to be ok! Then I was asked to come into the room to get started! Doctor Matto and his assistant were fantastic! I mean it! From the beginning to the end about 12 hours later! Yes 12 hours ! And believe you me! it was the best 12 hours of my life! I mean that they took great care of me! No pain! ( just a little 😊 ) , but really they did a fantastic job! I’ll never ever forget the time and care they put into every step they did to make me have a great smile , great teeth! Doctor Matto even had another Doctor there to assist him in doing one of the procedures he needed to perform. This lady was very professional and she knew exactly what to do! I was in great hands and to tell the truth! Again it was the best 12+ hours of my life! Thank you. Doctor Matto, and your assistant and the other doctor that was there to help!

My mom and I had root canal treatment done from Dr. Matto.
I was so nervous and scared with my cavities filled but Dr. Matto did such a wonderful job and the assistant was super professional! Her name is Melody, she took good care of me and stayed with me until the treatment was over. Usually some doctors are always busy and can be very aggressive with our timing, but this doctor is just super awesome!!!

I got my smile back! I am new to the island and was in need of a new dentist who truly understood my fear of that darn zingin noise the drill makes, lol. I just had my veneers redone and Dr. Matto did an amazing job! So professional! The Customer service here is bar none the best you will find! Most awesome is the text appointment reminders and caring staff. Krysta at the front desk is a true gem in making sure you fully understand your options and treatment plan. Also, if you are looking for a hygienist who is a master in their field, look no further! Hailey is so detailed and has a true passion for her work. 5 stars is not enough to convey how AMAZING this Dental practice is, I will NOT go anywhere else for my smile.

By far the best dental place I’ve been to on Oahu. Friendly, professional and so helpful. I would recommend to anyone to go here.
