Diamond Head Dental Care

The receptionist is very responsive to answer my questions and prompt in picking up the phone. The dental assistant is very pleasant to work with. I did exam and regular cleaning today. The cleaning process is a little overwhelming for me because there are often 4 instruments in my mouth and some of them would accidentally hurt my gum. The large part of the cleaning is very noisy. The noise may be normal. I like the fact that the dentist explained what she is going to do with change in each procedure--"There is going to be a lot of noise and water." I didn't feel that she tries to build a relationship like my old dentist did. I like the fact that I don't have to pay anything (not even the state tax) for exam and cleaning after HDS insurance. If cost is a concern for you, this is a good choice to consider.

I was visiting Hawai'i and had a dental problem. Got an appointment next day! Friendly staff. The doctor did excellent work, and I was on my way to enjoying my vacation once again! I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Matto is the best. I initially had him at Ala Moana Dental Care. And when I popped into Diamond Head Dental Care, it was HIM!! He took care of a bad bonding job and stains due to it. So grateful!!

After three days of a toothache, my wife desperately needed pain relief until we could return to our home dentist. We found a listing on yelp for Diamond Head Dental Care.
Dr. Jesse Hollander and his staff were wonderful. We were instructed to walk on over to their office, which was a half mile away. Immediately upon arrival, the staff got my wife into the dentist's chair. After x-rays, Dr. Hollander diagnosed the problem, solved the issue of pain, and then prescribed an antibiotic. He did not push services, but instilled confidence with his measured, kind response to the situation.
What an incredible service! Thank you, Dr. Hollander and the entire staff for your compassionate, vacation-saving treatment.

This office is an absolute charm!! The staff was very professional & personable. They were able to afford my sons braces at a great rate. And boy was he in dire need, esthetically speaking, LoL.

Dr. Matto and his staff are so efficient and really cares about their patients. I've been to many dental visits and because of my previous traumatic experiences I dreaded being in that god awful dental chair. But when I had my first dental visit in how many years with this office my anxiety was at a low!! With that said, I'm bringing my children here from now on.

Another awesome niche this office has is its friendly reminder texts!! Many of us hardly use the cell to talk (well for me at least), so these texts and being able to communicate back via text is a great plus for me!! I'm always in class or meetings, so having this option is very invaluable to me.

The office is very prestine and so up to date. Communications between front desk staff and staff in the back is real sleek. The doctor and assistants are always in the know of who has arrived and vice versa the front desk staff knows the doctors orders before the patient has reached the desk to make their next appointment. Talk about efficiency!!

Bottom line is I'd highly recommend their services to anyone who wants excellent dental and/or orthodontic services!! You're not going to find another one like this!!

I look forward to my next appointment after today's appointment. The dental hygienist, x-ray technician, dentist (Dr. Honda) and front desk staff were very patient with me and did a great job (two thumbs up!). :)

Easy to make an appt, text message reminders, convenient location, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a clean office ! I had a routine cleaning with Shelby and my teeth feel so fresh! I would definitely recommend Diamond Head Dental Care to others!

These folks are the greatest! Doctor Matto and the entire staff are friendly, caring, and highly skilled as any dental group I’ve ever been too, and I’m old! I felt at home the moment I walked in the door. They make you feel special.
In addition to having my teeth beautifully cleaned and polished, along with a full set of X-rays and a thorough dental exam, all at about half the price I pay in the Bay Area, there have been two different occasions when I’ve had a tooth or a crown become chipped or fall out (again, I’m old so this happens periodically) and been delighted not only with how quickly and easily they were able to fit me right in, but how meticulously and expertly the tooth was repaired.
In fact, I recently returned to Hawaii earlier than I had planned after a crown came undone, because I preferred having my friends at Diamond Head Dental Care take care of it, instead of my dentist in the Bay Area. There have been so many times in the past when I go in to the dentist thinking, “Oh, this will be an easy repair and shouldn’t cost much” and I’m told I need an entirely new crown, or an implant, or something hugely expensive. I almost feel like I’m buying a car in some dental offices - with pushy sales people trying to sell up.
It’s just the opposite at Diamond Head, where I feel they look out for my teeth and my pocket book by recommending what’s prudent for me, but never trying to push unnecessary, expensive and sometimes dubious services down my throat.
Regardless of where I live or travel, for as long as possible I’m coming back to Diamond Head Dental Care for all my dental needs. Keep up the beautiful job you all are doing and “MAHALO”!

Fabulous experience! Dr. Jackson was great! Also loved his assistant — both were so competent and kind!

Needed a cleaning!!!! Gave me an appointment within the week. Open Weeeknd too... Haven't gotten a cleaning like that in years ... Great service from front office to services provided
