Excellent service. We were referred by HCDS because my father was having a dental emergency. When I called, the receptionist is very nice, helpful and able to accommodate an urgent visit the very next day. Checking in and registering process was easy. The dental assistant is amazing, professional and accommodating to my non English speaking father. Dr. Kim,the dentist that treated my father, is kind, precise and professional. He listened to our concerns, examined my dad after reviewing the xrays and explained the plan. My father got what he needed done and after care instructions were provided. The whole staff is great and I would highly recommended them.

Dr. Shayd Shinsato is so kind and friendly. I’ve seen a number of dentists on Oahu and in CA, and he is my favorite one! He really takes the time to discuss your issues and give thoughtful advice. I’ve had two fillings done by him and it was actually a nice experience. I get pretty stressed out having dental work done, but midway through he and his hygienist started singing to the music that was playing. It was so funny to me, but also really took a lot of my anxiety away. Also I love their hygienists, especially Jason! I highly recommend them all. Thank you Dr. Shinsato.

I had a filling done today by Dr.Kim. I’m very very very very satisfied from his work. He did an excellent job!!! I just want to go back to the office and thank him again. I wish I took before and after picture on my teeth to show it. If you want a good dentist and nice staff you should go to the Hawai’i Dental Clinic in Kahala. The staff are very very helpful and nice too. They were able to book me in asap cuz I want my dentist to be done ASAP. Thank You Dr.Kim and ur staff.

The staff and Dr. Kim was great. I had to have a tooth removed and Dr Kim was very good in explaining the procedure and what needed to be done. Dr Kim took his time and not rush which I was very glad. Dr Kim and his staff was very professional and caring. I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend them.

This was the best dental experience I ever had. We took in our daughters for thier first dental visit (higher stress and worry level for the babies and us) and it went extremely well. Our hygienist Hoku was the best and the dentists were knowledgeable (about old school and new school practices to keep us informed and provide us with the facts to make informed decisions) and worked with our kids and us very well. To top it all off, no nā kānaka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, ua mālama ʻia kēia hālāwai ma ka ʻōlelo o ia ʻāina, mahalo e Hōkū (for all you native speakers, the visit was conducted in the Hawaiian language, thanks Hoku)!!!
Other highlights:
Self - Fist time visit with little kids both under 4yrs
Info - Office is not designed for young kids with decorations and things to keep them entertained but the staff worked very, very well with us.
Parking - Ample
Wait time in the office - Less than 5min
Wait time between hygienist cleaning and dentist exam - less than 5min
Staff over all - Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable. They got us in and out in less than 40mins for both kids, but we never felt rushed and we had time to ask questions, which we did.
