The Dr is seriously one of the kindest most considerate dentists I have had. But unfortunately he made a mistake with mine and his office manager also made a mistake.
I had a tooth that had pain and he replaced the crown. He also did 3 fillings I believe. I was quoted at 750 plus my full insurance coverage for the year. I paid that day.
The pain never stopped but before I could go back in I got an additional bill for over $300. Because insurance didn’t cover that. When I ask for the front desk to please explain she said her calculations had been “slightly” off. So my insurance ended up paying the $1000 and I ended up paying about $1000. But I still had pain.
I switched dentist at this time because of the billing issue. The new dentist ended up sending me to a specialist because the crown was not secure and the X-ray showed infection in the previous root canal. (Please note dr Doby did not go the root canal it was 10 years old). So after all of that I actually ended up losing the tooth and had to pay over 2k to him and 1k to a new dentist to have the tooth extracted and a bone graft placed. When I should have just had it extracted in the first place.
Honestly though the other 2 fillings he did that day are good. I am just frustrated about the crown being placed wrong, the surprise bill, and lack of empathy by the front desk.

Dr Dolby and the whole Cottonwood Dental Team are amazing! Dr Dolby provides you with his private number in case of emergency and answers when you need him! I had a horrible toothache over a 3 day weekend and Dr Dolby called back, got me onto antibiotics and saw me first thing Tuesday morning after a holiday weekend. Such amazing service and so kind and understanding of mouth pain. The staff referred me to a specialist and got me on my way so I can be back to work and pain free in no time. It’s also great to have a beautiful state of the art office to go to!!! Make an appointment - they are amazing!!!

No more anxiety for dental work now that I will continue treatment with Dr. Dolby. His hygienist was wonderful and gentle, he spent time with me and the staff was friendly as well as on time. All my questions were answered and previous dental work that was poorly done will be fixed with care. It is nice to have someone who looks after their patients! Smile!
