The reason for doing this review & rating this review as I have is due to the “billing” & not being informed of Dr. David G not being a provider within my insurance despite being told my fees was in-network fees. On March 4, 2019 I was told what my balance was. I knew that was impossible! I asked for a copy of my Account History, AH, & began comparing my AH against my Explanation of Benefits, EOB. This took me months to figure out & very time consuming!

I found 5 discrepancies totaling an over charge of $2,100.00+ & only one has been resolved as of today. The dates are from 8/2018-3/2019.

1 & 2- Two claims were submitted to my insurance with the “out of network” dentist performing the procedures. These two procedures were done in 8/2018 by my "in-network" dentist. I emailed Erin Jan 21, 2020 letting her know to resubmit these two claims & to let me know when she done this. I still have not heard from her as of today.

3- A claim was submitted to my insurance for $113.00. My in-network fee was $50.00. Beltline Dental, BD, then debited my account an additional $32.00 for ADJ NETWORK FEE after my insurance paid the claim in full of $113.00. BD received $145.00 for a $113.00 claim that should have been $50.00. I questioned this & no reply back as of today.

4-This claim was for the beginning procedures of my implant. After reviewing my AH, I was charged $1,204.00 over my in-network fee. This still isn’t resolved as of today.

5- I was over charged $433.00 for another procedure. Until I brought this to Erin’s attention, my AH wasn’t credited.

Since I don’t work in a dentist office, I didn’t know there were different meanings of “In-network”. When I’m told I’m being quoted “in-network fees, I think in-network fees within “my” insurance. I believe any patient would think the same thing. Even though I questioned my so called in-network fees ‘numerous’ times via email, I wasn’t informed until Jan 13, 2020 that Dr David was in-network with “Connections Fee”, CF. (The dentist can charge you whatever he/she wants to) CF isn’t in-network with my ins! Everyone at BD knew Dr David wasn’t in-network with “my” insurance prior to my implant & no one had the honesty or common courtesy to let me know. I have numerous emails with Erin telling me she quoted me “in-network” fees but “no mention” of CF until Jan 13, 2020. I saw Dr Dustin for “all” my procedures prior to my implant. Dr Dustin is in-network with my insurance. Someone at BD chose Dr. David to perform the beginning part of my implant which is the most expensive part. Since I was quoted in-network fees, I didn’t think anything of it.

I’m “not saying” this has happened to any other patient but I would get a copy of your AH & do your homework. Compare your AH to your EOB’s. Make sure the dentist performing the procedures is in-network with “your” insurance. BD will not let you know. In 50+ years going to the dentist, BD is the only office to quote me in-network fees but wasn’t really in-network with my insurance. Who in their right mind would agree to pay $1,204.00 over their in-network fee for procedures with a CF dentist when there is an in–network dentist in the office to perform the same procedures? If I hadn’t been told my balance that day, I would have “never” known about these overcharges! A patient shouldn’t have to critique their bill. Since Dr David isn’t in-network with my insurance, he cost me $1,650.00+ above my in-network fee! I had to take a loan out and I’m not happy!

I’m going to give it a month & see if BD takes the high road & does the ethical thing in honoring what I was quoted; in-network fees as I “understood in-network to be” or if the review I read on line by another BD patient is correct-Seems very business/money focused”
I’ll update this post with the results. Hopefully I won’t have to take the next step.

I really miss Dr. Gross!! I also don't care for the new staff. This new Dr, Dr. Dustin is more of a salesman than a Dr. I always came 70+ miles to get dental work done because of the staff and Dr. Gross wouldn't beat around the bush and sell me things I didn't need! I will be finding Dr. Gross and seeing him in the future. I'm done with beltline dental.

I dont enjoy going to the dentist especially when I have to get Xrays as my mouth is small and it's always hard for me. The tech today was very professional and helped me get through it all with little to no anxiety.

The people are generally friendly however the dentists change frequently. Communication is poor and they are difficult to get a hold of.
In addition, Friday hours are only until 1pm.

Really bad customer service. They cancelled my appointment and then proceeded to say I canceled this appointment. I did not cancel the appointment they did mistakenly and didn’t do anything about it. They didn’t try to work with me or around it and just looked like they could care less. Idk maybe it’s my skin color!
