Lakewood Family Dental

I had the best experience at Lakewood Family Dental. A cigarette smoker for 15 years, I had quite a bit of build up and my teeth where very sensitive. The whole staff was incredible how much they work together as a team. From the Dentist to the Receptionist I was shown great care. The crazy part about it was they where so busy, yet the level of personal intergrety was like 10 out of 10. I left my wallet there and they called me right away to let me know. Great team and great location. I can't wait for my 6 month check-up. My teeth are clean, and healthy. Thanks again Cjames

We love Lakewood! They have convenient Saturday hours and were able to get me in ASAP for an emergency procedure the same day within hours. We will be going there for all of our cleanings, etc too! I haven't found another place in town with such great hours for a single working mom this is huge! Staff is friendly and courteous too!

Dr. Nikhilesh is not a good dentist. Horrible bedside manner with children. He showed no compassion nor does he try to soothe the child when he can clearly see them in pain. He was in a rush and seemed to be mad when he started working on her. He doesn't communicate effectively with the parents on exactly what he is going to do. He traumatized my child to the point where she was flinching when we went to our new dentist. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here, especially children. Be careful when looking at the reviews too. I believe they post fake positive reviews. I did research on some of the them and they didn't appear to be real people.

Wost experience I have had in my life.. went in yesterday with pain from exposed nerve due to filling falling out.. the Dr who was there offered to pull my tooth right then wirh my concent that i have a slight infection and thw numbing medication might not work 100% and I was fine with that as was sending me home with pain meds and antibiotics. While I was working with the reception about payment information because lack of the amount of money and no insurance she informed me that I would have to reschedule because he decided to take his lunch and that I would have to reschedule. I was already feeling pushed away because my lack of insurance. Why would he have time to pull my tooth or do a root canal and cap but not have a moment to wait the 10 minutes it took to get my payment arrangement taken care of. Well i kept my feelings to myself and agreed to reschedule. They told me I could come in the next day (today) at 11. I arrived at my appointment and the Dr working today was different than yesterday and he refused to pull my tooth because he said is policy to pull a tooth is different than the other dentist who was willing to pull it yesterday. This time very upset I asked one of the hygenest why did she schedule me appointment today with a different doctor knowing his policy and she told me it's because she was not aware that he was not working today.. I'm sure if I had walked in there with insurance or all of the money needed friday things would have been different. Also to the people scheduling appointments it is their job to schedule them correctly. Now I am out $40 to be seen by the doctor to diagnose my problem. Had I known the doctor was going to leave during my scheduled appointment time and take his lunch I would have never paid $40 to be seen my home nor would I have drove all the way back the next day for my second appointment just to be refused.. I did ask for my$40 back because of their inconvenience and that I was going elsewhere and I was refused.

I hadn't been to the dentist in several years and had moved from Peoria and needed to find a dentist. My girlfriend went to Lakewood and recommended them. They did 3 fillings for me and repaired another tooth. Are weeks later I went back for a deep cleaning. I was very satisfied with the professional work and the politeness of the whole staff. I also made an appointment for a check up in 3 months. I would highly recommend Lakewood Family Dental.
Update June 25...went back for follow up and small cleaning and they got me in and out promptly. Dr. Nick and the staff were very friendly and helpful as usual. I really am glad I found thut dental office. Made my appointment for 6 months out.

Giving the stars for the front desk and the dental hygienist that were part of my visit. They were all super sweet. The hygienist specifically was outstanding.

Dr. Choudrey himself has definite pro (singular) and cons. He seemed to be in a huge rush the entire time. I get really bad anxiety when at the dentist, and especially getting an infected tooth extracted.

First, I wasn't all the way numb, and even though I said this multiple times, he kept insisting I was only feeling pressure. I'm sorry, but there's a huge difference in pressure and pain.

Yes, I moved a bit, but I moved BECAUSE I was in pain. Still was disregarded.

The only pro I can think of was he did offer a prescription for a painkiller afterwards, but I didn't need it nor did I fill it.

If you're left with no other options of a place to go, you'll get whatever you need done taken care of here. You just won't feel comfortable with his bedside manner at all.

Came in because I had a really bad toothache. Left with a cleaning and a follow up appointment for a Root Canal. Lord jesus pray for me! But the service was excellent. Jessie & Dr.K was very professional and I definitely recommend.

PLEASE... do not go here. I saw that this place has 4.2 stars and decided to give it a try for my tooth infection which needed care immediately. When waiting in the room with the dental assistant, woman came in and told the assistant to “not do anything on me yet because her insurance hasn’t answered back.” IN FRONT OF ME. I’ve never had a dentist do that before! Also, the dentist was super short with me and “determined” that there wasn’t an infection at all. However, he prescribed me antibiotics “in case there is an infection, it’ll take care of it.”

Me: “I thought... I thought you said there wasn’t an infection??”

Him: “umm open your mouth *check tooth for 3 seconds* ...there’s not”

WHAT THE HECK.

I drive over an hour to get to this office even though I have other options close by, I will gladly make the trip. Everyone in the office the dentist, the assistants and the receptionist at the desk are all very kind and patient. I get nervous about dentist visits and found myself crying in the office one day in anticipation of the upcoming procedure, the staff was very kind and patient with me, allowing me the time I needed to calm down and be able to handle what had to be done, I don't think I would have made it through anywhere else. I would highly recommend this office for adults as well as children, my three kids have always had a pleasant experience in this office.
