Lakewood Family Dental

My first appointment was general cleaning. I waited over 45 minutes for them to call me back. Is it normal for the hygienist to skip "teeth scraping" before using the power tool to clean your teeth? That was extremely odd. When the head dental hygienist came to see me, he saw the x rays. Then he looked in my mouth and said my upper wisdom teeth gums healed well. I said I never had surgery on my upper teeth. Then he was shocked and said "oh you haven't removed them yet". No, I don't have any upper wisdom teeth - to which he got really confused and had to check the x rays. I only had bottom and no top wisdom teeth. He did not seem to know what he was talking about. His name is Dr. Joshua Kaluzny.

I am currently in the office waiting for my second appointment. It was scheduled for 11am. As I write this, it is turning noon. I have been waiting for over an hour. Why does Lakewood Family Dental take so long? Why do they not follow the 6ft rule for covid-19? Why does their floor look like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks?

Why do you schedule three people at the same time for the same dentist???

Customer service is terrible. The lady at the front desk was unwilling to look up the last name of the dentist. She said I would have to wait until the next lady comes back.

Doctor was very kind, thorough, and gentle. Was able to get through quickly. I will keep coming back here!

Worst dentist experience I have ever had. Waited 20 minutes past when my appointment was before they even saw me. No one there acted like they knew what they were doing, and all I was there for was a cleaning. They were so rough, and the cleaning just consisted of running this like power grinder over my teeth and they really didn't even spend that much time on me (thankfully). Every other dentist I have been to uses different picks to really get your teeth clean and even flosses for you. Not them. And even with that, I have never had any pain after a dentist appointment, but after leaving them, I have a massive sore on my bottom gum that is still in the processing of healing. Do not to here, take your business elsewhere.

Amazing office! Incredible and communicative staff/ doctors

The staff, very patient with my toddler. However i wish more information was given to the doctor before arriving. When I called to make an appointment I told the staff, my toddler has been crying for 2 days that her teeth hurts during meals. I told her I can see visible cavity's. The advise after should’ve been to see a pediatric dentist who can x-ray & fill her teeth. Instead we got a 20 second cleaning and a paper to call a pediatric dentist :-). I’d comeback for myself but NOT for a 3yr. Old.

I've never seen a dirtier office nor experienced a "Dentist" with such poor work. Whoever gave this man a license should lose their jobs. This office is a cattle call operation preying on state insurance and over billings while failing to provide any sort of care that would be acceptable in a 3rd world country. Run far and as fast as you can.

I was worried after reading some other re Jews but I was pleasantly surprised once I got there. Front desk was friendly, techs were friendly and gentle with my daughter and Dr. Lisa was. Dry sweet.

The dentist and the dental tech Andrea was amazing...my children and I will be returning. Glad to have found a dentist office that is friendly and good with children!!
