First time going here insurance changed so I had to go to in network. Was very pleased with the overall experience Dr Wong was very informative with my situation and made a care plan to relieve me of my pain. She went ahead with my cleaning everything was modern and efficient from the X-rays to the cleaning top notch equipment. Enjoyed looking out the big picture window just a little nervous when a car would be parking in front of the window though thinking to myself please don’t hit the gas and not the break also the tech was very pleasant and efficient I didn’t gag with the X-rays.

Took my daughter here and they were great. The dental hygienists we’re absolutely fantastic with my daughter The dentist was great. My daughter was extremely nervous, because she had to get a tooth pulled, and everyone there made her feel better. This will definitely be our new dentist.

I would’ve given no stars but that wasn’t an option. Today I went Familia dental because when I made my appointment online it was not til May. I have an exposed nerve which quite painful. The Receptionist told me that they take Emergency Walk-ins. I saw a review on Yelp that says they take Walk-ins. I arrived @11 am. They lady waiting on me was in training. She informed me that they NO LONGED TAKE Walk-ins. She went to the back to talk to the dentist. I was told that they didn’t have any available appointments. But that I could come back tomorrow on Friday try to do a Walk-in appointment. While I was standing there the other receptionist got a call. She proceeded to offer the patient on phone an appointment for Saturday. When she got off the phone I asked that receptionist if she had any other appointments available. I told her that that appointment on Saturday should have been offered to me as I was standing in their office. She apologized offered me Walk-in appointment on Friday. (If you don’t take Walk-ins then why am I supposed do it on Friday.) You Either have Walk-ins or you don’t. Which is it? If that is how they handle their patients I’d rather go elsewhere.

Decatur Location: I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind and knowledgeable. This is one of the very few places that accepts my insurance and I am beyond happy that I found them. They’re very reassuring, let you know what’s going on throughout your appointment and are happy to answer any and all questions you have. Being able to get in and get my problem teeth taken care of after having a baby is wonderful. Highly recommend the Decatur Location!

I am always pleased when I go to Familia Dental. The kindness that the staff shows makes it easier checking in. Dr Wong has always taken care of my teeth since I've been attending familiar. What a wonderful dentist with a great bedside manner. She actually cares about her patients.

I thought the work done in my mouth was excellent the dentist knows what he was doing and did a great job. The reason why it's not five stars is the nurse and the dentist were both very impersonal and didn't make me feel very relaxed or or calm....or even welcome.. Other than that it's a great place to go they're very skilled I just wish they were a little bit warmer in personality but everybody has bad days I guess! 😁

Great people. Super affordable! Josie always has a wonderful attitude, she's very quick and efficient at the front desk. Melissa is very quick and super attentive to the exams and cleaning. I don't feel the dread of the wait you normally do when going to a medical office. The Decatur office is a quick, efficient and always filled with positive helpful people. Definitely always my recommended placed for anyone needing dental work!

Honestly grateful for this familia Dental location. Staff are great & the Dentist (male) was gentle, considerate & commutative. I’m glad me & my son use the Decatur location. BTW we travel 40 miles. Keep up the great work! The wait times are also improving!

There’s definitely been some scheduling issues and not on my end.. I had this appointment scheduled for 4 months for root canal. They called last week to reschedule it for end of April 😳 I asked to talk to 3 different people.. They were able to get me in yesterday but didn’t schedule it for another 2 hour root canal appointment so now I do have to wait until end of April. They “started root canal” whatever that means and that’s it. I was there 3 hours. 🤷‍♀️

I traveled here from Champaign because of multiple bad experiences at my local office. The staff at this Decatur location were super friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Dr. Wong was very sweet and made my dental plan moving forward clear and specific. Very impressed and I’m actually not dreading returning for further dental work. Thank you!
