Dentistry with TLC

Everyone there was so nice. The girl that went over the cost was so sweet. The tech I had Kim made me feel comfortable and answer all my questions. Dr Smith is so good I won't go anywhere else. She the best.

Dentist is performing procedures she's barely qualified for, sometimes has a bad attitude, and will try to sell you nail polish while she's looking at your teeth. Seriously. Surprise bills are a guaranteed, and they're often in error. I was still fighting with them for over a year after I quit this place, and they eventually "discovered" their error. Please, for the sake of your teeth and your wallet, avoid at all costs.

I took my son to Dentistry with TLC for his check up and cleaning. He came out all smiles asking when he was getting to come back because he loved Courtney and Dr Smith. Everyone made him feel very comfortable. It's great experiences like this that will keep us coming back! Thanks Dentistry with TLC for the best care!

The technology at Dentistry With TLC is years ahead of the other dentists I have been to in the St. Louis area. Last time I had to have a tooth fixed it took my old dentist 2 appointments to do the root canal, one appointment to make my temporary crown and 2 more appointments to set my permanent crown. I took 5 days off work all together. Dr. Smith did this all at ONE appointment in just about 2 HOURS!!! I just can't believe it, and she cost LESS than my last dentist. I'm taking my daughter to Dr. Smith to get fast braces because Dr. Smith is the best in the St. Louis area and the fast braces cost LESS than my sons regular braces. Why would you go anywhere else when it cost less, saves me time and Dr. Smith is beautiful, kind and smart to boot! My whole family drives from St. Louis to Godfrey to see Dr. Smith and I recommend you give TLC a try!

The billing department does not give you accurate quotes. In the past 2 years I've had 2 times where they told me my insurance would cover most of the procedures. The first time, they had miss calculated how much benefits I had left. The second, they had marked one of my periodontal follow up as a cleaning and I had to pay for a 3rd cleaning in the billing period. Overall, we ended up having to pay about $500 more than what they had quoted us.
They are thoroughly unwilling to work with their customers... when I explained the first error, they "gave" me a partial credit that would expire in a year with the contingency that I get more work done... Meaning, they just wanted more of my money. On top of that, during the Periodontal scaling, they chipped a filling on one of my tooth and they denied any responsibility.
To conclude, they are very shady when it comes to billing... they never tell you what will be charged to the insurance or what the different steps of the procedures will imply... I suggest everybody I know to stay away from them.

There are so many dentists between my house and Dentistry with TLC, but I would never go anywhere else! I choose to have my dental work done there because the experience is impressive, every time. It started when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and couldn’t tolerate the CPAP, so I went to Dr. Anna Smith for an oral appliance, and then I kept returning for my regular cleanings and procedures! The staff is so patient with my anxiety (shout out here to Joey, Christy, and Dr. Meagan), and they truly went the extra mile to help me calm down enough to get my procedures done so I can have a healthy smile! You will absolutely receive above and beyond dental healthcare at Dentistry with TLC!

This dentist is crooked!! They charged me over $7000 for an implant that fell out. No offer to try to fix it or refund any of the money that is still owed. Just a referral to a specialist to put it back in which will cost even more money. Wish I would of listened to everyone who tried to warn me about her. I recently found out a friend was charged for a root canal that she later found out she didn't need. Look elswhere!

Quit going there when I was left in an examination room for over an hour and a half. One worker then came in and told me I could leave. They had not yet cleaned my teeth when I was told I could leave. The four members of my family no longer go there.
A crown that was put on there fell off after 18 months. The so called post was plastic. It could not be put back on so now I am getting an implant.

An experience to be desired by anyone...professionalism at its' best! The entire "Team" is extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful...this begins with the reception, and continues by being greeted by all staff members. The treatment is superior to any I have ever witnessed anywhere...especially pleased to have Dr. Anna Smith as my Dentist.

I went to get a tooth extraction. By the time it was over the DR. told me that the total would be over 7k for 2 teeth. This price is outrageous and doesn't help the masses of people who need help. Not to mention I just contacted a dentist out of Jerseyville who does the entire procedure for $125 and $15 for an xray. I mentioned to the female denist that the dental college does the same work for just over $100 and she said and I quote "if you go there you're wasting your money. The work done there is subpar and the students do poor work". They're offering a special right now for an exam and xray for $29.99. DO NOT do it. If you're a low income family they're literally just stealing your money and they know it while doing it. A tooth extraction at TLC costs $400. A root canal with cap for 2 teeth was over $7000. This isnt a joke or me trying to stop business at this location. This is factual information.

UPDATE: I just left the dental office of sweeny in Jerseyville. He did the entire procedure for only $115. He said the tooth DID NOT need to be surgically removed but according to the lady at TLC it HAD to be surgically removed costing over $400. So she ran a special for $29.99 just to steal money from people. Then lied stating I needed a procedure I DIDN'T NEED! The sweeny office in Jerseyville started at noon and ended at 12:20. That's all while chatting, doing shots and pulling the tooth again for only $115 NOT $400+. TLC is a get rich quick scheme and should be shut down. It should be illegal to lie to patients. I'll take a polygraph based on what TLC said I needed vs what the sweeny office said needed to be done. You ma'am ARE A LIAR!
