I was so happy when I switched to this clinic—it was very welcoming, nice, really good tech, and I really liked it when Dr. Jackson asked what my plans are for my teeth. We discussed some plans about it and overall it felt very assuring. I don’t know what happened but it all changed.

I got to have surgery (not that much of an emergency thing where I can die next month or something if I don’t have it done right away) and I was referred to an oral surgeon, went there, and I decided that I will not undergo surgery last year since it was at the height of the pandemic. When I went back to Dr. Jackson, he said that I didn’t go to the oral surgeon he referred me to. I insisted I went but probably his assistant/s made a mistake, and after our brief altercation, the assistant pulled up the letter, sent from the oral surgeon’s office, on the computer.

That certain patient-doctor trust was trashed at that moment when he didn’t believe I actually went to that oral surgeon, and when he said that all the things I need to get done in my teeth will be halted until that surgery was done. And if it’s the risk of me having surgery at the height of the pandemic versus waiting the pandemic out for a bit and having surgery this year, I’d definitely do the latter especially now that I am fully vaccinated. The plan for my teeth seemed to be just for show when he said that everything else will be halted. I thought it was a joke until they really didn’t do anything else other than cleanups.

I’m writing this down so that this doesn’t happen again. They did a pretty good job with my husband’s teeth so I hope they keep it that way. As for me, I would want a doctor that will not force me to have surgery and halt everything else if I don’t wanna do it right away. It is still my choice whether I have it done or not. I also have other teeth I have to care for, not just that the one tooth affected in that area that needs surgery.

Also, this happened on the phone:

Me: “Hi, I’m cancelling my appointment on (this date)”
Barbara: “Sick.”
Me: “What?”
B: “You’re sick.”
Me: “I’m not sick.”
B: “You sound sick.”
Me: “Well, I’m not.”

How unprofessional is this.

Overall, I’m very disappointed so I’m moving on to another dental care provider.

This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! Everyone is amazing from the reception, waiting room, assistants, and Dr. Jackson! I wouldn’t go to another dentist in the quad cities.

Absolutely loved this office! Everyone so nice and friendly! The receptionist is so accommodating and can answer all your questions! So glad we can here!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are all thorough and conscientious in their practice. Their office is clean and the art is beautiful. I feel at home every time I go.

Dr. Jackson and his staff were all very welcoming and informative. He spent a lot of time explaining things on my first visit and answered all of my questions. It was a very nice experience.

Always a great experience. The wait was minimal. Teeth cleaning was caring and professional. Dr Jackson takes the time to give a through exam and get to know as a person. Everyone in the office, front to back, are very professional but more important they’re genuinely nice.

My Father and I were absolutely impressed by the staff and Dr. Jackson....very patient and showing great care and compassion for my elderly Father...and most importantly no rushing him out the door after he was seen. The Dr. Addressed my Father's dental needs and explained any questions about his dental care. Definitely a wonderful Dr and staff

Very friendly walking in. Updated and doesn't look like an old office. Everyone was very easy to deal with it felt more of a visit than someone trying to sell me a product. Said what needed to be done and offered some other things to change if wanted but wasn't needed. Definitely will be keeping my business here!
