I have always had a fear of dental work. I've seen many dentists throughout the years but this is the only dental office I have ever felt comfortable at from the very minute I walked through the door. I was referred to them by an employee of theirs, Kristy. She assured me I was in good hands but I was still nervous considering my history. After I had a successful and informative cleaning I decided to put my trust in this dentist and his office completely. I am 39 years old and had cosmetic bonding on my front 6 teeth that had been there since I was 12. Something that was supposed to last only 5 yrs and improve the look of my discolored teeth were an ugly mess. So I inquired about veneers. Dr. Darling set down with me to discuss my options. We decided I would get the bonding removed and have crowns put on my front 8 teeth. The process started with Colleen about 2 months later. She was the kindest anyone has ever been to me while sitting in the chair. She and Dr. began the process of getting me prepped for temporary crowns made right there in the office. They were beautiful and sturdy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. After a few weeks, I returned to have my permanent crowns placed. The temps came off and they were cemented in. They walked me through every step of the way easing my concerned mind. What would my new smile look like? Would it change my whole face? And ultimately, would I be happy? They knocked it out of the park! My new teeth are spectacular! They're strong and beautiful which is something I've never before been able to say about my smile. Colleen and Dr. Darling exceeded my expectations all around and they have me as a forever client! I never imagined I would find a place with such compassion and understanding. Every step of the way took careful execution and planning and I will be forever grateful for what they have done for me. I am returning in just a few weeks to get my bottom teeth done and honestly, I cannot contain my excitement!

My overall rating will always be 5 stars for everyone there and the many times I have been there previous from today…But today was a different story, I was greeted by the lovely receptionist that was working today. Her and I were in the middle of discussing the reason I came in today just to be cut completely off by a woman named CARLA who is also an employee there because what she had to say to the receptionist was more important. She was rude, and very disrespectful towards me.
The receptionist and I were discussing the reason why I was coming in, which was very important and urgent to me. My tooth had cracked a week ago and I wasn’t able get through to schedule an appointment over the phone. So I came in, started to explain what had happened and was blown away by the way this employee decided to interrupt me and have a negative attitude towards me..
I’m a reoccurring patient, with a cracked tooth who needs immediate attention by my dentist. Luckily, I was able to get emergency care from them, which I’m very thankful for and of course everyone in the back did absolutely amazing.
But for Carla she seriously needs a reality check, I hope she doesn’t treat everyone with that amount of disrespect, especially other patients that go to Southshore. How could someone work for the public and be that disrespectful towards patients? Very short tempered woman who thinks she sits on a higher pedestal than the rest of us.

Dr. Darling and (Colleen) did wonderful work on my front tooth. I was a nervous wreck when I got there but them explaining everything calmed me down a little. They made me giggle a few times with some of the things they were saying. I hope I got (Colleen's) name right. She's awesome! Both of them are caring and respectful. Thank you 😊

I just got back from the office and can't believe what happened. I panicked and went to the office to see if was a emergency or whether I could make an appointment at a latter date. I was so surprise that Colleen was able to see me and access the situation. To my surprise Colleen and Dr. Darling were able to fill the tooth immediately.Wow!

Mom and I will not go anywhere else. Dr. Darling is gentle, professional and has done magnificent work on mom’s remaining teeth. Unlike previous places we’ve been to he didn’t try to sell us expensive stuff and did what was in OUR best interest. We are also pleased with his knowledgeable staff. We moved to Crown Point from out of state and are so happy to find such a good place. Unlike mom I don’t have dental issues (yet) and will never go anywhere else because of the trust I have here.

I just came from this place of business, and I must say they are great! Starters it’s very clean and the complimentary phone charger(they have all kinds) was just to cute to me 😊 not to mention the staff was very polite and helpful. Now as for the dentist surgeon I saw which was Dr. Sonia Bennet she was freaking great!!!!! She saw my pain and truly helped me today I would recommend her to any one who needs quick, gentle, and great dental help. I am truly appreciative for today thank you 😊 all.

Dr. Bennett and her staff were very condescending and rude when I went in with pain after wisdom teeth removal. They undermined my pain and talked down at me while failing to properly explain the healing process. The staff had an attitude and was very abrupt during visits. I went back for a check up and they continued to be sarcastic, passive aggressive and not concerned about my pain at all. Very unprofessional and should not be tolerated from a healthcare provider.

I have never seen a more unorganized dental office when it comes to scheduling.
To clarify...Dr. Darling/ assistants/hygienists are very good at what they do, however we have had consistent issues with scheduling us for the wrong procedures. Which has caused us to drive all the way there (30 mins one way) only to be told we have to reschedule because we weren't put in for the correct procedure and the doctor is booked.
Hopefully they can get this resolved.
Also, my text reminders for appointments come in 10 minutes prior to appointment time. Just some kinks that need to be addressed, but the staff are very friendly and competent.

I had to switch dentists due to insurance. I was extremely nervous. From making the appointment; to my cleaning; to my cavity filling. The staff was very efficient respectful and nice along with helpful! I am so happy I stumbled across this group! If you need a dentist in this area I highly recommend them! Best experience I’ve had in awhile!

I was at that office seeing the Oral Surgeon when that negative review was written. The lady at the front desk explained that phone and fax line are one and the same and the fax line has a different ringtone. My doctor's office kept faxing a referral for my appointment but were having problems on their end with their fax machine. The lady at the front desk was not ignoring the phone ringing, she was waiting for my fax.
