I can not stress enough this was a horrible experience. I would give them no stars if I could. Let me start off with I made this appointment over two months ago, for an oral surgery consultation. We waited an hour and a half and never saw the doctor. When we were finally called back in the room the young lady was very rude and disrespectful. When asking questions about my daughters treatment she was condescending and continuously cut me off. At that point I chose to take my business elsewhere. I believe ninety minutes is a ridiculous amount of time to wait when you arrive on time for an appointment, and still never see the provider. Then for the staff to be rude and dismissive. We can go somewhere else, and will! Part of providing a service, is service!

They are a high volume practice that does it right and does it efficiently. I’ve never had a bad dentist or hygienist. The staff is excellent. If you want efficient, state of the art, get in get out no fuss, this is the place for you. If you’re looking to see the same doctor every time, look else where. I’ve been coming here for nearly 30 years and have never had an issue.

I had a tooth extracted by Dr Hearn, and felt he did a excellent job explaining everything and removing it.

My son was very nervous for his wisdom teeth surgery. Was extremely put at ease and will recomend Dr. Hearn to anyone.

Sandra was my hygienist. She was excellent! Very nice young lady. Dentist was great! As always, the rest of the staff was awesome!

I had a poor experience. I did not have a friendly welcome when I first walked in. Then I waited 1 hour before I was taken back to be seen, then another 20 minutes from then. The nurse who took me back was not friendly and just quickly filled out the paper work and then gave it to me to sign.

When the doctor walked in, I did not receive a very friendly welcome. He rushed through the information. He was very factual but not so reassuring. I would ask question and he just repeated himself with annoyance. I felt very uneasy and as educated on the procedure as when I walked in.

I will not be coming back to Valparaiso Family Dentistry.

It's a large practice. Filled with a lot of nice people. They have always gave us good service.

Everybody was really nice and pleasant. The service was great and the dentist took the time and explained the work I needed done before my top dentures and bottom partial could be completed. Even when I got a little cranky because I had already waited 2 months and thought I could just get a new flipper. She kept her professionalism and explained to me what would happen if I didn't get my remaining teeth taken care of first.

I think it's difficult to give a glowing review for a dentist's office because most people are scared of them. Oral hygiene was never super stressed growing up in my household which means I may be only went to the dentist once and I was a small child. As an adult I have very severe anxiety and panic attacks I let Dr Hern know this and was worried I would have a panic attack while he was extracting a tooth. Turns out the doctor did exactly what I needed and didn't give me a chance to get scared or try to back out of my procedure. I am 3 days out from my extraction and I have almost no pain, maybe some achiness and I would say that that's mostly from how wide my mouth was open for him to get to the trouble tooth. I would say my experience was excellent given the fact that I could have completely gone pale and passed out on his chair. Office called to check on me the next day and asked if I had any questions and pointed me to after hours Services if necessary. Maybe there are complaints because it is a bustling office and people want to spend more one-on-one time talking about procedures, but my experience being extraordinarily fearful turned out being great.
