This was my first time to go to this dentist. I was told that I had 6 teeth that were either cracked or he thought the composite needed to be redone. He wanted $850 for the 6 teeth. I couldn't afford that so I went to Indianapolis to the Dental College where I went through xrays and even more that Life Smiles did. I was told by the professional doctor of 40 years of practicing dentistry that there was no reason to do anything. The college was very professional. I would recommend that you go to the Dentistry College and never, ever go to Smiles Dentistry. I am very unhappy with them.

Friendly....but avoid like the plague.
At the time of my visit, this was the only place that accepted the graduate dental insurance in West Lafayette. Prior to our visit neither my wife or myself had any cavities; they 'found' 4 cavities and a root canal for my wife and 3 cavities for myself. After checking with friends at work, I found that their experiences were similar. We should have gone somewhere else and swallowed the cost for a second opinion.
At best this dentist is over-aggressive with his treatment plans...at worst he's padding the coffer with unnecessary procedures, all while taking advantage of the university students.

Can I give ZERO stars?? Terrible, and judgmental doctor. If you want to leave feeling like you are a leper, then PLEASE go to this establishment. If you have any respect for yourself, and your hard earned money, please go to another clinic that is respectful, honest, and has integrity. God knows that this facility is lacking all of that.

Ok technician who had no filter, and I loved the dentist. What left a poor taste in my mouth, however, is when they asked if I knew an individual who was also in my major. I did know her, but I believe revealing another patient's first and last name is a HUGE no-no and a violation of patient confidentiality. Due to this, I will not be returning. I would not want them name dropping me to anyone who walks in that goes to Purdue or is in a certain major.

I went here for a couple of years, and it was in a convenient location, and everybody was really nice. The dental hygienists were so sweet. They were also accommodating for my insurance, so that was much appreciated.
