PREDATORY AND SHADY BILLING PRACTICES

They make you pay for the nice building they have. Despite my insurance saying they cannot charge more than the negotiated fee ($750), they charged me the full fee for the crown and asked me to pay more than $1000 out of pocket within 2 days. I filed a complaint to my insurance and they said they "do not have the admin time" and offered me a "courtesy refund" which they somehow calculated as the half amount of the overcharge they had me on. When I pointed out that they need to refund me the double amount rather than half, somehow they opted out from the "courtesy refund" and wanted to wait for the appeal process with the admin time they somehow did not have at the first place. All of the doctors are super nice, but their admin/billing is absolutely shady and unethical. Nobody told me I was going to pay over $1000 before I walked into that procedure appointment.

Starting with my first visit to Apex last summer, I was absolutely blown away by the service, the friendliness of the staff, the amazing doctor, — everything including the facilities and decor. Very professional and comforting. I highly recommend!!

We absolutely love Dr. Mindy and her staff at Apex dental. It is obvious to me that she genuinely loves my children and is emotionally invested in their success with orthodontics. I love that Dr. Mindy is continually learning and educating her staff.

Best Dental clinic in Des Moines period, Dr. Brad is by far the best dentist i ever met, the staff here seems very well trained, warm and very welcoming, its slightly more expensive clinic but it's well worth it, highly recommend

I've been going to APEX Dental for over 10 years and have found the whole office is very competent and profesional.

Very nice to walk into a very clean, new office and be greeted by professional staff. Everyone was very knowledgeable and informative. The Dr spent a good deal of time reviewing my tests and even explained areas that I didn't hear or understand from the Dr that performed the testing. He took the time to answer questions, discuss pros / cons, with no pressure on making a decision to continue.

The office is beautiful and clean and the staff are very welcoming and kind. The hygienist, Amy, was thorough and went over everything with me a d I got a lot of education that I never had previously from any dental office. The doc was friendly and efficient as well and made sure to go over any concerns I may have. My grandfather was a dentist so the patient care and education is a big plus for me. I am very
impressed.

I probably don't have enough room in the review space to tell you how wonderful APEX Dental is WDSM is. From the front desk to Dr. Brad, Ashley, all the assistants and desk people that I don't know all their names yet. I had a major procedure done a couple weeks ago, and everyone has been so friendly and patient with me through the process. I want to do a special shout out to LORI, who is a gem all in her own. She takes care of my concerns, answers all of my husbands questions, and takes the time to get to know me. They all of done that and I can't thank everyone with APEX enough!

Been going to the same dentist since I was 15 years old I am now 42. My husband and I decided it was time for a switch and so happy with our decision! The staff was so pleasant and welcoming. Amy that cleaned my teeth showed me my X-rays and the doctor went over everything. I have never had that experience at my other dentist. This place is amazing and I will be recommending it to everyone I know!
