Asha Dental - Leawood

Since my long time dentist retired I have been going to Asha Dental. At first I was reluctant because change is never comfortable with me, but after several visits I can honestly say I am happy with the office on every level. The office staff is kind and efficient, the office itself is clean and orderly, everything runs smoothly. I am especially happy with the treatment from my hygienist ( who's name I can never remember 😕) and Dr Patel himself has been very caring and helpful with coming up with suggestions according to my special issues. I'm looking forward to a long professional relationship with Asha Dental and would recommend to anyone looking for a dental team.

Great knowledge, great service, great personalities and top notch people! My elementary age children also left a pediatric dentist many years ago and are now patients of Dr Patel. The experience for them has been phenomenal, including X-rays, cleaning and even treatment of a cavity.

The experience at Asha Dental was very positive, and I look forward to a continued relationship. All of my questions and concerns were addressed respectfully, and I feel confident that choosing Asha Dental was the right choice.

I’m usually never one to leave a review but my experience here was so appalling that I’d like to forewarn anyone else who may schedule an appointment here.

I saw a man here by the last name Patel and he was hands down the WORST healthcare “professional” I have even seen or spoken to. He was incredibly rude and condescending. The first question I asked him he actually CUT ME OFF and had the gall to chastise me by saying “Well if you would LET me explain, after I finish you can go ahead and ask all the questions you want.” Every subsequent time I had a question, he continued to cut me off mid sentence and answer ASSUMING he knew what I was going to ask (which he did incorrectly, might I add).

When he informed me that treatment would cost thousands of dollars and would not be covered AT ALL by my insurance, he immediately started pressuring me into making a financial commitment right then and there. When I told him it was something I would need to think about, he continued to pressure me and attempted to brag that his services would be the cheapest of all the dentists and that I shouldn’t bother looking elsewhere. Any expert I’ve met who actually has something of high value (i.e. excellent care & treatment) to offer you would be aware of that and charge accordingly, so bragging about being the cheapest option certainly did not impress me. I would even go so far as to say that perhaps why he pressures patients into treatment so quickly is likely due to an incompetence one could only see further down the line or his complete and utter lack of bedside manner.

The icing on the cake is that whenever I was asked a question by another employee there, he would rudely interject and speak FOR me, making statements about what he PRESUMED I was going to do next or what I wanted. Unbelievable.

So to sum it up: Any physician who is actually good at their job would have to actually LISTEN to a patients concerns before addressing anything and offering a care plan. Also not being a total jerk would help immensely.

Ive been going to this office since about 1995 and the work has always been good. Dr.Patel went above and beyond most recently by getting my broken tooth fixed in short notice it was fast and easy! He is an absolute Pro and as a hockey player its great having a dentist like him!!! Thanks ASHA for all the great work

Excellent dentist and staff. Always friendly, professional and thorough. I always feel relaxed in their office and that’s saying a lot as I normally have high anxiety from past dental experiences with other dentists. I’ve had fillings, crowns, and root canals all done here with no issues at all, I can’t speak highly enough of Asha Dental.

Polite and courteous staff. Convenient email and text reminders of appointments. Patient schedule is well managed so you are never in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. Office is outfitted with the latest technology and visits are always relaxing and comfortable. Hygienists are very friendly and genuinely care about your long-term health. Dr. Asha is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and doesn't b.s. you.

Painless, courteous, and quick! I love this team! They make going to the dentist really enjoyable!

I highly recommend Asha Dental. Dr. Patel is outstanding in his work! With his knowledge and experience you'll feel confident you're in good hands. Also, a big thanks to his assistant. Maria is exceptional and is extremely good in her work with added kindness to assure that you are being well taken care of.
