I never do reviews... but feel this is important for our local community to know. I was a patient of Tonya Wells for several years... always very happy with my treatment there. UNTIL... she retired and sold to Dr. Gregory Fort. First of all, let me say the facility is very nice. It’s very clean and the staff is friendly. But this is where it stops. I went for my first whitening procedure not long after he took over, and they “forgot“ to use a mouth guard and burned my lips quite severely. For the past four months I’ve been dealing with an infection underneath the root canal that he did. Could not convince them that I had an infection. Had to almost beg for an antibiotic. I went back recently because I just could not take the ongoing pain... sat in the room for an hour and he never even stepped in to check on me. They never even did an oral exam . They did a couple of Xrays and “Fran” told me that it was not the same tooth. They tried to convince me it was a perfectly good tooth and that it needed a root canal and crown. At that point, I KNEW I was dealing with substandard care... and I sought out a second opinion from an endodontist in Clarksville TN. He confirmed that the tooth I suspected all along... was indeed the culprit... and I had a severe abscess in it. To shorten this very long story (AKA “nightmare”)... I had a “retreat“ done and I am just praying we can save the tooth. The endodontist I am going to has very high recommendations... and he came right out and said he has seen several of Dr. Fort’s patients with the same issue... and advised me to discontinue my dental care with him. (which of course, I have done) I was an “upfront, cash paying patient“... and feel that I was being taken advantage of... a prime target for someone to make money off of. I’m doing this review because we are a small community here... and I don’t want anyone else to have to go through what I am.

I am no fan of medical or dental visits. These people realize that and are very accommodating. Plus, while they often recommend extra services, they have never been the least bit pushy. I continue to be satisfied not just with Dr. Fort but his entire frontline staff.

Wish they had been more upfront with information on the treatment of children, also they missed an abcess that my child had, so we spent a lot of money to be told we needed to find someone else who could help and then the diagnosis was wrong. My wife informed them of what was going on before the appointment, they verified what my wife said (even though it was more serious than that) and then said they couldn't help.
