This is the best dentist to go to. They make you feel comfortable at all times. And joke with you if you're nervous. I'm 28, & still get all worked up over the dentist lol. But they make it worth going. You won't be let down!

Fantastic dentist and staff. I had to get cavity fillings and they made sure I was completely numb and comfortable before they started, and during the procedure. Best dentist around.

only one star because i cant give zero. made an appointment a month ago because i am in dire need of dental care. waited the month and today they called me and said i couldnt be seen because they dont run medicare [even though the other insurance i have does cover it. they refuse to even run medicare to get the denial to get paid by my other insurance.] warning if you need dental help desperately dont go here. they will slam the door in your face unless if you have a lot of the ONLY thing they care about, cold hard cash.

I had a tooth pulled and one filled on the same day, i developed a dry socket a day or two after the extraction, which may have been no fault of theirs. Had to wait a few days but when i got in I was sent away with Ibuprofen and an antibiotic. Besides cluster headaches this was one of the most painful things i've experienced including multiple broken bones, injuries from a car wreck ( one of which ended with my ear sliced neatly in half horizontally and had to be fixed by a plastic surgeon) but nothing beat that until i developed an abscess above the other tooth which i had filled by Dr. Allen. I went in, after two nights of no sleep after it had swollen so bad my left eye was closing.
The Dr. Seemed concerned, and said it would need pulled, i explained i hdnt slept in over 48 hours and that i was getting a pretty serious and painful ear infection as well. Once again, antibiotics and Ibuprofen. II protested that time, and explained i was starting to actually hallucinate from sleeplessness, and had been taking ibuprofen already and it didn't help. He didnt respond and the nurse told me (whispered) "he's not allowed to prescribe anything stronger anymore" Which I can only assume means he over prescribed and gotten in trouble or something (I live in south eastern Kentucky, some terminal cancer patients only get naproxen and things up until the last few months of life. there used to be pain clinics, and i guess the medical community over reacted) I dont know if he was a straight up drug dealer selling prescriptions before, or if he was just giving the appropriate medications for pain and still got in trouble, but i feel i should have been made aware never the less. Even if it wasn't his fault, he lost a tool he needs to treat patients. Dental complications can be some of most painful things a ordinary person will experience during their lifetime, but at Allen Family Dentistry they are legally unequipped to deal with any of the problem that ordinarily arise. You can go in, even if you eye is swollen shut , and you've not been able to sleep or eat for days, the Dr. can only embarrassingly shrug it off, and leave it to one of his staff to tell you, he can't help. He's not legally allowed. My only question is, then how the hell is he allowed to rip peoples teeth out, and cut into their mouths and all these other procedures. Give root canals, extractions and hand you a couple of Ibu's. It's been 2 more sleepless days filled with pain. E.R. can only tell me to make an follow up with the dentist. There's no way i'd ever go back here, and I'd NEVER send a child.

I have never had a bad experience at Dr. Allen’s from scheduling an appointment to getting my teeth cleaned everyone in the office is very friendly and down to earth!!! Would recommend them to anyone!!

Went there today cause of a tooth I had hurting. I was in and out within a hour. All the staff was nice and friendly as always. I don't think I have ever waited long, which is great. They're amazing team.
