I highly recommend Pleasure Ridge Park Dentistry! The staff is super friendly and explains things in a way you understand. The Dentist was very understanding of my situation and legitimately cared about helping me with my dental problems, he explained things beautifully and took the time to listen without judgement. They also sent me this beautiful letter with a $5 Starbucks gift card, couldn't ask for a better group of people, thanks to all staff!

Office staff is great, hygienist Kristie was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable for the cleaning.
Dr Bakus wanted to do way more than what is needed. I went for a second opinion that didn’t agree with half of what he recommended. Dentistry can be very objective as far as what is needed but this was excessive. I would not recommend him at all.
I’ve gone to this office for 30+ years with Dr Mills. After my most recent visit I will not be back.

Dr Bakus is amazing. I had 2 dental implants and he was meticulous. I’m so grateful to have a dentist who wants your mouth to be perfect. I would recommend him as the best in the south end of Louisville. We are lucky to have such a great dentist here in the South end!!
I’ve also had caps and fillings. I trust him totally!

My appointment with Pleasure Ridge Oark Dentistry was so amazing. When i arrived I was greeted with a very pleasant receptionist who made my day. Everything was in order and I couldn't believe how fast the service was, as I sat down in the waiting area, I was called immediately before i could even warm my seat to go in the back. Then I was greeted with a very happy dental assistant who was so amazing, she talk me through everything that was going to be taking place. Her bedside manner was so pleasant and my appointment was very nice. They did my exam and did a temporary crown to help me out with a broken tooth. They made my day and let me not for get my Dentist Dr Bakus who made feel so comfortable. I loved the way he was with me and other patient 💕. He was very good too... I am so glad to have them as a team. I will stay with them always. One of the best dental places I been in a long time.

Very kind and caring people from front desk to clinicians. They pay attention to detail. Do a great job with getting me back quickly, letting me know what they are doing and how long it should take. Kristie does a great job of educating and being thorough with cleaning and making sure everything is comfortable as can be. Dr. Bakus also takes the time to listen and explain what he is doing and if he has any concerns. Amy and Sheila are on top of insurance info, scheduling and all are very welcoming.

Dr. Bakus is very knowledgeable and thorough and explains your options of treatment. He is gentle and does his best to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be on all procedures. I was a little nervous when I heard Dr. Mills was retiring a couple of years ago since I was seeing him for over 30 years. Dr Bakus has just been wonderful. Other staff is very kind and knowledgeable also. Sheila has been there for 40 years I believe so she can answer any insurance questions you may have so you know what to expect on your on bill. No surprise bill. I highly recommend if you are in need of a permanent dentist for your family

Quick appointment scheduling, don't have to wait MONTHS like a lot of other dentists. Hygienists do a great job cleaning and making suggestions. Had to go in a couple times after some fillings for bite correction but that's been the only negative.

I have gone to Dr Mills since he got out of school and when he retired I never thought I would be satisfied with anyone else, but I couldn't be happier with the new crew and Dr Backus. Of course my girl Sheila is still there but everyone else is kind and caring. Dr Backus is very knowledgeable and listens when you ask him about your health and not patronizing. I'm glad he's young, I'll be coming to him for a long time!
