Absolutely love these folks. Dr. Bourg was amazing with working on my teeth as well as my husbands. My sister in Dallas was so impressed she now flyes in for him to work on her teeth. His staff (all of them) are wonderful. You cannot go wrong with this Dental group - whether it is for a filling or a major overhaul - these are the people you want.

Ever since I found Exceptional Dental when I had a couple of implants, I drive almost 2 hours to obtain the excellent services there. Everyone is competent and on task. Injections are a non-issue when administered by the "ninja" doctor.

The entire staff here is friendly. The office is set up nicely except it is FRIGID in there. That is not why I am giving two stars though. It is common knowledge that when you have insurance and doctors office is IN NETWORK they have access to your coverages. Traditionally I have never had to pay anything up front at any doctors office unless I didn't have insurance, and anything my insurance didn't cover would be billed to me. For starters, I am a new patient so I called to make an appointment for an exam, cleaning, and xrays... typical dentist visit. I got an exam and X-rays done and I already knew I would have a cavity or two. I was told they didn't have time for my cleaning so I would have to come back. But they had time to do my fillings? They did have a slot open for later in the day but I was not told cleaning would not be done in my visit. I was told after the fact since I was new that they "wouldn't know what type of cleaning I would need". Whatever that means. So I get my treatment plan and my total bill would be... $800.. my insurance was being ESTIMATED to cover $500.. so I would be left with $300 due UP FRONT. I'm sorry but if you have access to my plan or member number you wouldn't charge people that amount up front. Little to my knowledge, this office does not do the silver fillings, only white. How convenient since my insurance only covers white fillings on FRONT teeth. But I didn't find anything out from the office until after the fact and I got straight answers from my insurance company. Everything I need is covered 100%. Bottom line is - know what your insurance covers and know what the office offers. Otherwise you'll be stuff with a big IOU to the dentist office. Side note- Avenue G office offers silver fillings so I will not be going to the Ames office for my cleaning nor my fillings.

If you are trying to decide which dentist to go with, choose Exceptional Dental (the Ames location in Marrero)! I could not be happier with the level of professionalism, care, and overall kindness of everyone who works there. I needed to get my wisdom teeth extracted ASAP, as one in particular had been bothering me for quite some time. I put it off because to be honest, I am pretty terrified of the dentist. Let me tell you that Exceptional Dental has changed all of that for me. From first being received and put at ease by Darrien at the front desk, to Dr. Danny Giang and his team Tiffany, and Nena, I couldn’t be happier. Exceptional Dental has state of the art equipment and even text you to check in and see how you are doing. I really can not recommend them enough! Thanks again and keep up the great work y’all!

I was in so much pain when I arrived to the Ames location. First, the dental assistants of the year jumped into action to relieve me of the pain. Then, the paperwork was done in a quick and professional manner. Finally, the dentist and his assistant 🙏 preformed a root canal and they stayed late for me..
Dr. Bourg you have a great staff..
I promise I will have all my fillings done from this point.

Called for tooth pain and needed extraction ASAP. Was seen a hour later by Mr. Terrebone and Tiffany. They were so nice and made sure I felt no pain at all. It was completely painless. Was quick and pleasant experience.
