I called to make an appointment today, but I accidentally called the wrong office. The backlash that was conveyed from the caller, April, was unprecedented. I have never been spoken to with such animosity and was frankly more confused than anything else. When I politely asked to be spoken to with more respect, April responded that she could either “stay on the line and give the phone number (to the other office) or hang up”. I was taken aback and when I tried to ask what was wrong, she ended the call. I hope April learns that it’s never okay to speak to anyone, customer or not, with such strong hostility.
