I’ve been a patient for over 15 years. The front desk representative, Lydia is awesome. The office has COVD-19 protocols in place, i.e. taking temperatures, requiring patient hand washing, limit of one patient in the waiting room. Also the waiting room is free of magazines and clean. I had my teeth cleaned and was in and out in less than hour.

Greenbelt Dental is very caring. They are people oriented and the customer comes first. The staff is knowledgeable and tries to assist and guide you through whatever is needed for you.

Let's face it, I hated my teeth with a passion. I've had numerous dental visits with past dentists 'patching up' my teeth and never really fixing anything properly, plus that discomfort and no real direction. I finally got the chance to do things right and glad I found Dr. Allen. She's got a great personality, expresses real care and concern while repairing the patch jobs and improved my smile ten-fold. For the first time in my life I feel like I can truly smile again and I get lots of compliments. I know I still have a bit more to do, but Dr. Allen and her awesome, friendly staff have got me in the right direction. Word of caution, she is sneaky with that Novocain needle thing, and you have to expect some pain, but it was far less pain than other dentists have done to me. I guess this is the first time I've actually had a pleasurable experience at the dentist. As for cost, I wanted the best dental care, and for the price it's worth it. They lay out all costs so I can see what my insurance covers and it matches with what my plan says it'll cover, so I haven't had any surprises with that.

Office is dirty and poorly managed. What it says on the box is not what's inside! I have been a patient here for awhile but I feel I should have been looking for a new dentist when the old dentist left.

There is misrepresentation in this office on who provides which treatment. When I come to see a dentist, I expect that she will see me for basic and advanced procedures and do regular check up. But do not expect this here. This office has selective approach on what you can get from each doctor but they are not upfront about it. The fact is, Dr. Galvan does not take new patients in a usual sense I mention above. But they wont tell you this when you come in for the first time and she does very little. Classical bait and switch.

You won't see Dr. Galvan beyond your first visit. They charge you and then they are incapable of doing the most basic procedures like a canine extraction.
Unless you come in for a (cash) expensive procedure do not expect anything from Dr. Galvan. You will be redirected to one of her younger and less experienced temp dentists. Even seeing Dr Galvan who is exceptionally bad and worked here only for a few months is useless.

Unfortunately, nowadays the office staff incessantly tries to outsource all general dentistry procedures to temps or refer you outside.

I got a filling and a crown with Galvan and I have been in terrible pain and their number was completely unresponsive over the weekend. She referred me outside for a simple extraction. This is simply the most terrible dentist I have even seen in 49 years.

Been going for year's. They are super nice, they make you feel at home. I was never big on going to the dentist because of fear but they got rid of that. Highly recommended

Typically I do not review anything, but I will say if you car about timing and cleanliness in the least...DO NOT GO HERE. I am a frequent dentist persona dm just loved to this area. I have been in braces twice and consistently keep up with cleanings. This dentist office looks like a janitorial supply office with broken down dental equipment. Front desk is very kind, hygienist was nice but very unorganized and slow, the dentist told me I had cavities and then walked out. I’m not sure who is giving 5 star reviews because you clearly have never been to a real dentist before. Just like my business you need to atleast fake that you like your job. Also the cleaning lasted an hour a half so don’t come in your lunch break. Good luck!
