Had a dental emergency that made me scramble to find a dentist on a Monday morning for a tooth extraction. I probably called 10 places before reaching City Place Dental, with many going through a long list of Q&A only to tell me they didn't have any same-day appointments anyway (ugh).
The receptionist that took my call was professional and immediately emailed me preliminary forms so that I could complete them before my appointment. I was so thankful, having stayed up all night in pain, to get the forms done from home.
When I arrived, the waiting room was filled with children so for a moment I thought I might have mistakenly called a pediatric dental office. Within 15 minutes of my scheduled time, I was taken to see Dr. Achikeh who immediately put me at ease with his warm personality and thorough explanation of what to expect from my visit that day. He was gentle, professional, and made and otherwise unpleasant event bearable.
I look forward to seeing Dr. Achikeh again for all my dental needs.

Thank you so much for being an excellent and incredibly gentle dentist. You and your staff are the friendliest and professional dental office I have ever been to. Kudos! Everyone in the office always makes me feel so special when I go there for an appointment. They are super nice and so sweet.
I am always telling everyone how great my dentist Dr. Achikeh and his staff are, and how lucky I feel to have found them. Keep up the good work. I had nothing but great experience while going to see Dr. Achikeh.
His team was great and he did a great job explaining everything that he was doing and listening to what I had to say. He kept me calm during my appointment and answered all of my questions.
Dr. Achikeh office is very beautiful and creates a relaxing ambience prior to any procedure being performed. I find this to be a must have for those who do not like going to the dentist. The office itself is very new and state of the art equipment they use on their patients. One of their amenities that they have is that you get to watch TV while having your teeth worked on.
Dr. Achikeh and his team are the best in the DMV area and I will continue to go there and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been a patient at City Place Dental for several years, and there just aren't enough superlatives to describe Dr. Achikeh or his staff--especially Roxanne. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are treated as a person rather than as a patient. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcoming. Dr. Achikeh is an exceptional dentist with a heart of gold and extremely patient-focused--his primary concern is that of the patient. He doesn't make you feel like you're on an assembly line when he's attending to you, and his demeanor is very caring and calming. I have been in the office on days when patients were literally spilling out the door, and he made me feel as though he had time for me. If he can perform a procedure, he doesn't "outsource" you to specialists like other dentists in the area are prone to do. He is extremely knowledgeable about dentistry and exhibits an "old school" flair which I find quite refreshing. I'd also like to give a "shout out" to Miriam, his dental hygienist--she's gentle, patient and thorough. Dr. Achikeh removed several of my teeth and fitted me with partials which fit superbly and look awesome! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend City Place Dental to anyone and have done so. Clearly, Dr. Achikeh is the best dentist in the DMV, and by far, the best dentist I've ever seen--and I HATE dentists (LOL)! City Place Dental is also very cost-effective as they accept a variety of dental plans and stay within the parameters of the insurers fixed fee. I am an extremely satisfied patient/client of City Place Dental!!!

The whole staff in the clinic is very friendly, work with you to accommodate on your scheduling. The dentist is very knowlegable and provide you of all the pro's & con's of your treatment options. Me & my whole family love this place. Highly recommend !!

Dr. Achikeh gave me a crown which left me with a gap on the side of my tooth which was not there before. Dr. Achikeh then lied to say that the gap was a cavity. He then proceeded to perform a filling to close the gap. I came in again for fillings. It was at this time when Dr. Achikeh confessed and told me that there was no cavity on the tooth. Also, when I asked about fixing the crown, he said it would be impossible even after I told him how much the tooth hurts. As a patient, I am upset that I was lied to. I am also upset at the Doctor's unwillingness to help.
