My experience at Gentle Dental was wonderful. I came into the office after undergoing a root canal at Tufts and needed to get a crown. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and very helpful, especially at the end of my appointment when I saw the bill. I didn't wait long at all before being taken into the exam area. Dr. Fessler's assistants are very sweet and reassuring, and talked me through everything they were doing. Dr. Fessler himself was attentive, and really took the time to listen to and understand my whole sob story about what I was going through. Even though he had other patients in his office at the time, I felt like he was completely focused on me and genuinely cared. He gave an honest opinion about the work I'd had done and what he would have done differently. When it came time to actually go into my mouth and start working, he was very delicate (or gentle, as the name would suggest) and completed the work rather quickly. When I asked him to fill a cavity he had found looking around, he obliged with no issues. He also took some additional x-rays to see if I had anything else going on (which of course, I did). We discovered that I would need another crown on a different tooth, and he had no problem creating and putting in the temporary right then. He was also more than flexible when it came to timing and dealing with my insurance company. Overall, this was a great experience -- I was very hesitant at first coming from a dentist I had been seeing since I was 7. I will definitely recommend Dr. Fessler and his team to my friends.

I had a wonderful experience here!! Dr. Han is very patient and friendly. He listened very carefully to my concerns and answered all my questions. The office even has a scanner so no more disgusting impression. I got started on my Invisalign and so far I’m loving it.

Horrible. Hygienists are good, doctors are terrible. Told me I needed to replace a filling, that I was having NO issues with, because it was too old. Nothing but problems since. Went there 3 times to get it fixed, they could never fix it and wanted to drill out the adjacent tooth for some reason to "fix the problem". Went to another dentist, turns out I'm having issues because they chipped the adjacent tooth and now I can only fix this with a cap! Avoid this place for anything other than cleanings.

Terrible administration. Dentist is good but have some sort of crazy problem every time. This most recent round of problems: Changed the time of my appointment without my confirmation. Did not have a DENTIST available to check teeth during scheduled check in; said "have to tell us when scheduling that you want to see a dentist". Then laughed when I confirmed that I was going to see an actual dentist next appointment. They have a contest that asks people to write Google reviews buy them ask you to take a survey if you're review is negative.

This has been my dentist for the last couple years, and I'm just upset at myself for not finding it sooner. From the first visit, Dr. Fessler has made me feel much more comfortable than any other dentist has. Not only is he very knowledgeable and very professional, but his great personality makes me feel more welcome with every visit. He has a good team around him as well. Let's face it, nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but Dr. Fessler makes me feel so comfortable, from our friendly conversation, to explaining each step in the procedure he's doing before he actually does it. Again, I just wish I had found this office sooner!! Dr Fessler gets an A+ in my book!!

I came here for a filling, but it turned out I needed a root canal. Dr. Fessler was awesome—he calmed me down, walked me through the procedure, and was transparent about what needed to be done. It was honestly painless (though I wasn't in too much pain to begin with anyway) and he kept checking in the whole way through.

Priscilla at the front desk is also awesome and super accommodating.

I highly recommend Dr. Fessler, especially if you are fearful of the dentist (like me).

I had my first dental visit today with Dr. Fessler. I can not describe how at ease I was. The whole office team was great!! They answered all my questions with efficiency. I would recommend Gentle Dental of somerville to all my friends and family

I have used this office for several years for extraction, braces, cleanings, crowns and fillings and have had great treatment and great service. Dr. Fessiler is very professional and easy to talk with. Even though the office is not in my city the service is worth the commute.

I was in such need of a dentist, and do to a bad experience in the pass my husband and we're afraid. My co-workers kept telling me about the Gentle Sent Me in Somerville on McGrath Highway. It took some time to convince my husband and to build the courage but we did an appointment and went. The first person we met was Pricila Silva she took her time explaining all the details about coverage prices and the work they do. We left feeling comfortable knowing all the details. It's been 4 Months and we couldn't be happier with our beautiful teeth and the friendship we have built with all of them. I can honestly say that they put a bright smile on our faces.
