They are excellent and so empathetic! We had to reschedule several times and they were very accommodating. Also, I was 8 month pregnant at my last appointment and could no longer lie on my back so they did all the procedures - assessment, teeth cleaning and scan - standing up. When I told them that mint makes me nauseous, they looked for alternative toothpaste and gave me extra to bring home. Finally, since I needed a new guard, they pushed the lab to do it so that it would arrive before my due date. Really pleased with the service! Highly recommend!

The Excel Dental staff are phenomenal! From the front desk to post-procedure, I am always taken care of and informed what is happening, what needs to be done (and given the choice to decline), and what the plan is. The front desk staff is incredible organized and knowledgeable, the assistants are attentive to Dr. Surmont and my needs, and the hygienists are thorough but gentle and take their time with each tooth! Dr. Surmont is a gentle, honest, and exhaustive in his care. He does not pressure patients and listens to their concerns, putting patients’ needs and comfort first.

My first visit to Excel Dental, Ann Arbor was very satisfying. The receptionist was able to bring up my dental insurance coverage details to describe to me what costs I'd be liable for. The hygienist was knowledgeable, explained what she was doing and why, as we went along. Finally the dentist spent time overviewing the results and laying out possible next steps. I never felt pressure to sign up for any optional treatments or procedures. I'll be doing my scheduled dental maintenance here, quite pleased.

Best dental office I’ve ever been to, the staff are all wonderful people and do everything they can to make patients feel good. I had a panic attack during a crown visit, and they took care of me and walked me through each step of the procedure until I was comfortable again. They truly care about their patients, and do a wonderful job on teeth!
